I noticed recently in many telegram groups that there are people posting messages trying to contact admins about listing their token on their exchange. This is a new type of scam that is actually trying to lore newbies who might be desperate and want to have some sh¥tcoin that they are holding to get listed. Once the newbie contacts the poster of the scam exchange message then they will try to get information about their wallet; etc.. People don’t be gullible; if someone is a representative of an exchange they know how to get in contact with the project via email or other methods. They will not go into a public TG room to try to get a listing. That’s just absurd and we should all be careful of such scams.

It's true what you say, recently there were many new scams on the telegram. Last month, I was cheated and my wallet was hacked. For others, be careful with telegram fraud, enough for me to become a victim.

Man Telegram scams are worst. Just yesterday someone posed himself as Brian Armstrong (CEO of Coinbase) with his full pic and all. And then messaged me about how I feel about current crypto market. After few mins he said that he can get me a Bitcoin at 30% discount from the market. I knew he was a scammer so I just went with the flow. Later he gives me an email to which I should contact after creating a Coinbase account. I then blocked the guy.

Just beware of such scammers. No one is gonna give you anything for a discount. Don't reveal your private keys, passwords even if they say they are support representatives. Good thing is I don't have much cryptos, but still staying safe is very much in our hands.

Actually it's an old strategy of scammer in telegram site, by send personal message to the admin of groups to listed the token. In this incident are obviously scam, imagine, Why people send you personal message for listing? For sure it's a scam.

Sometimes it is our own fault why we become a victim of the scammers and hackers

In telegram theres alot of links that has been sent, and if you are to clumsy to click each and anytime links was posted then maybe thats how they find ways to hack you, because most of the sites that has been posted are phishing sites,so prevent from clicking since you dont have reason to do it

If you are in telegram group, better to stay silent and just read whats going on,so from that you will not become a victim of this brightest criminal ever lived

It isn't always the case some user are also giving some nice intro to hire them on making YouTube videos to get some real investors in the crypto space and sometimes they are using legit Crypto Youtubers on their scheme. Just report them spam or ask the moderators to ban the account that will do the most.

You could make it more dramatic bud! Let him wait, let him call you, and whatever worst thing. That will be fun.  Grin

Don't  you know about shady telegram bounty campaign on different newly created project now a days. When you join on it, admin or bounty manager  will instruct you to be sounds or just like a investors who are willing to invest on their project.

You don't need to know the project, just make the telegram active and avoid to be looks like a moderator. Just ask and ask and ask and then you will get stakes. I encounter this few months ago and it's a good strategy to caught the attention of others.

I have seen this old trick method so many times, and i thought that a lot of people in the crypto are smarter than before and that's why these scammers are targetting the developers. I know any exchange site will never try to begging on the developer. So many people have known about this type of scam method but thanks for your awareness.

One way the fraudsters will continue to pursue it. This is very risky, so easily they infiltrate and look for loopholes to attract victims. So you have to be more careful in investing, even if it's by telegram, you must remain vigilant, not to be tempted by coins that are not well known or not in the market or bounty lists on the btt.

I have been a moderator on several ICO projects now and you see all sorts of idiots coming in to the group trying to make themselves sound either important or useful. It's pretty obvious to most people that no exchanged come knocking on your door through your Telegram to offer you a deal. Another big scam are the video production people with thousands of followers that want to promote your project.

Should only be the people running the project that get affected but everyone needs to watch out.

exchanges never offer any services to help registered in their exchanges. but fraud like this don't only occur in telegrams, sometimes via e-mail, slack or other. therefore always be careful and always ignore messages that are not known to the source.
