I agree with the statement that by trading you can increase your portfolio even on a bear market, but you
have to be an experienced one not to lose in value. Personally I have increased my portfolio much more
by shorting the coins and buying back much cheaper than by scalping. So for me, sometimes it is better
to stay out of the game and still win.

the information in this thread is very useful but even better if you add some solutions to trading altcoin with low volume and small market cap because it seems that all the things mentioned above no have affect to altcoin with low volume and small market cap

the OP already mentioned he only trading on big volumes market, means he simply ignored if the coins still has low volume/small caps.
Since the bigger you had on your portfolio you need to make sure as well one of your portfolio can be liquidated if you want manage to sell it

I like this information as it's a useful one to those who really want to make this bear market as a means to increasing one's portfolio. But, I'm really scared of trading, as it hasn't been working well for me. I, most of the tie, lose anytime I trade.

It really turns out in a falling market, to increase the number of coins in a portfolio, it reminds a guessing game, whether you guess where the price will go, according to indicators and patterns it is difficult to trade

You are right, when you have lost so much money to trade is not the right thing to do, you need to find what you did wrong but in this market losing 80% since the last all time high is not really surprising and the only thing that could have prevented that is if we had sold our coins when the market began to went down, but I have the policy of not selling my bitcoins unless they hit my target price.

you have to be a very good trader to offset that. In those market conditions it is wise to short your coins as well.

yeah on the bear market, doing a shorting is a best way to do if you still want to trade with that kind of situation. Entry the market and leave it (hold) will likely make another lose on your portfolio since you don't know where is the last dip before it changed the trend

holding lossing any opporunity to add our coins stock.in short term we could take advantages from daily movement.buy and sell several times could make our coins amount increase alot.but we have to be master in technical analisys.

I agree. There is no other efficient way of increasing the portfolio than trading especially on the bear market.  Relying on bounties is not that productive anymore because of the number of scam ICO's that has happened. There won't be a problem if all of the bounties were legit but its the opposite way around. Trading could be the answer on the drought. However, if you have limited capital, it could be very hard to start but when you get the hang of it, its very productive.

i always thought the other wise until i see with my bare eyes how i close friend of mine made almost 50 dollars daily on just one coin but to be honest you need to be good in trading you should now how to read charts in order to lose because the risk is high to be honest.
