EDIT: AFAIK, you can't access your private key on Android Electrum.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2381046.0

Unless you mean the extended or master privkey, you can export individual privkeys. In the current version of Electrum, you go into the 'Receive' tab then tap on the address. It will send you to a list of addresses in your wallet. Tap the address you want, then tap 'Details.' Their will be an option to 'Export private key' which will require you to input your passcode first. You can then tap on the privkey and it will be copied to clipboard.

In previous versions of electrum, the address list was in a tab called 'Address' just like the tab 'Receive' or 'Send.'

I have posted screenshots below.

Clearly you haven't been using the right blockexplorers. His adresses do check out in terms of BCH being stored on them.
Also he didn't post his privkey, but an xpub. However you make a fair point. I haven't checked it out, but as far as i am aware, there is no way to access an xpub on the android version of electrum? Or is it just privkeys that you're unable to access?

You can export the master pubkey as well, just not the master privkey. You need to tap the top part, which will take you to the master pubkey and place where you can get seed.

Thanks for reading my post.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I really appreciate everyones input/feedback.  It has def helped clear some questions I have had.

I am being 100% truthful.  I am an extreme rookie that obviously has no idea about what I have jumped into with Bitcoin.  I appreciate the urgency that you guys shared with me about showing my private key.  I guess I dont clearly understand all of it yet and I have already and could make more mistakes without knowing.

I deleted the Electrum app and downloaded again bc I didnt know if i had a defective app.  luckily I took screenshots of my Seeds but i do not have the keys anymore.  I just want to find my cash lol, this is crazy.

please give me any more tips bc I am going to go on the hunt here in about an hour, EST time.

Thanks again guys

The wallet that generates that xpub you posted above: xpub661MyMwAqRbcGQ6ZfyKW1nUpTt3g7Yem6brVwAmpMXUkvBnEEKCyJ1vHWiChSN8DMo7rfiyesYX g4tC43BvxNJkz5jwRKeNysVn3HFJCdxZ

This wallet ^ has your bitcoin cash. The easiest way to get them is to restore from seed using electron cash. So how about we concentrate on that? You said in post 20 that restoring from seed in electron cash fails. What happens exactly?

Bitcoin.com Wallet
~snip~
Does this help at all for "which Bitcoin" am I using?

This does definitely help.. There is only one bitcoin (traded with ticker BTC or XBT).
Anything else is just a fork of bitcoin, which took the same code base and took the name to attract new money.

I am an extreme rookie that obviously has no idea about what I have jumped into with Bitcoin.

That's never a good idea. Especially not if you are dealing with money.

An app can't be 'defective'.
An app can be compromised or buggy. But not 'defective'.

If you have downloaded the correct app AND the app is trustworthy AND you have the backup of your seed, your money is safe.

I was trying to restore from seed on my android and not a PC....once I came to a PC it worked.

So, I was able to restore from seed and now I have the address in my Electron Cash wallet that possibly has the cash on it.  WHAT IS THE NEXT STEP?

This means you successfully transfered BCH from 1Ahw6xqEmarByEaCeVKitLQfprHhEqRjQW to 1Asw9BGefMxkG4TTUhs1fsiKuyCQRmeccy. Which is where the coins are waiting for you now.

So were you able to restore your seed using Electron Cash? Because then you should be able to see your balance, or at least 1Asw9BGefMxkG4TTUhs1fsiKuyCQRmeccy in your list of addresses.

There is no next step. Electron Cash is a bitcoin cash wallet so you can use it to send and receive bitcoin cash with the send and receive tabs respectively Smiley

I see the address 1Ahw6xqEmarByEaCeVKitLQfprHhEqRjQW1Asw9BGefMxkG4TTUhs1fsiKuyCQRmeccy in my Electron cash wallet now.

I see the address in the Addresses tab but what do I do with it now?  I do not see a monetary value associated with the address.  How do I know how much value is actually on this address?
There is nothing in my Coins tab.....

Then your client probably isn't properly snyced (check the circle at the bottom right, it should be green - if it is red, you might connect to another server to retrieve the information).
Your address 1Asw9BGefMxkG4TTUhs1fsiKuyCQRmeccy does hold a balance of 0.271.. BCH.

Your address 1Ahw6xqEmarByEaCeVKitLQfprHhEqRjQW contained 0.271 BCH until you sent them to your other address (1Asw9BGefMxkG4TTUhs1fsiKuyCQRmeccy) on 2018-09-24 at 20:30.

You can always check your balance on a block explorer. https://blockchair.com/ for example does support BTC and BCH.

I save my address(es) and use the address as payment?

You don't explicitly use addresses for payment. On a technical level addresses don't exist.

What you actually do (or better: your wallet does) is, taking multiple UTXO and combining them to new UTXO's.
A part of these new UTXO's (usually one) is being assigned to the receipent, while another UTXO is being assigned to a new address of yours (your change).

To do this your wallet does need to sign the transaction using the private keys associated to the UTXO's you want to use.

So, all you need to keep care of are the private keys. In modern wallets (almost everyone, including electrum) you only have to backup a 12 or 24 word mnemonic code.
All of your private keys (and therefore also public keys + addresses) can be derived using this word phrase (keep multiple backups AND secured + hidden from curious eyes).

can someone send me a link to a intro to bitcoins?

I'd suggest visiting bitcoin.org. You'll find basic information there.
For further interest, google does give you quite a lot useful results.

I appreciate all your help

Remember, the coins you now hold are Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and not Bitcoin (BTC). While Bitcoin.com may refer to BCH as Bitcoin, most of the rest of the world doesn't.

So if you're asked to pay with Bitcoin, most people will expect you to send them BTC and not BCH.

If you decide to send your coins to an exchange, double and triple check that you are sending them to the exchange's Bitcoin Cash / BCH address. If you accidentally send BCH to an exchange's BTC address (or vice versa), those coins are gone as most exchanges don't go through the trouble of recovering your misplaced coins for you.
