Will Bitcoin bring an end to Paypal?

I think Paypal is an old system and Bitcoin is a new system for money transfer and bitcoin is working 24 hours and we can use bitcoin for money transfers faster and cheaper than Paypal. I think Paypal will not be alive in the future and we will use only bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

In the spirit of mass adoption we are likely going to see the death of PayPal and other payment gateways. Do you foresee the death of PayPal soon by Bitcoin? At some point people would want to feel safe in not tying their credit cards to any online payment gateway. Your thoughts?

Now just a lot of people who do not understand what it is, but rowing out of the herd feeling, thinking that it will grow endlessly, and udmayu will say well, joined the topic of bitcoin.

Actually, I don't think so it can happen! Bitcoin is the most popular digital currency no doubt, But still lots of people can't make Bitcoin transactions. Paypal is a worldwide popular payment method! In every sector, People use Paypal for making their payments! I don't think Bitcoin can replace it! Bitcoin is a volatile, anytime price can huge down, transaction speeds are not good enough! So, My answer is No here.

Paypal is one of the oldest payments method which people really trust. I don't think bitcoin can bring an end to Paypal because its also reliable.

Paypal is integrated with Fiat. although it looks outdated, but they are one of the pioneers of internet transaction media for global finance, Peter Thiel is even an optimistic person with the development of bitcoin, if bitcoin is legalized then I'm sure paypal will use blockchain in their system input.

The difference between media transactions and currencies will be more advanced and competent collaborations, they will not overthrow each other.

PayPal can not compete with bitcoin if some company issuing bitcoin debit card. Bitcoin have more stronger system because it can use anywhere and its more easy. Beside that, transaction fee more lower. But I am believe as big company, PayPal will adopting bitcoin and take advantages from bitcoin if mass adoption happen

No because some companies (take freelance companies for example), only support PayPal for payments — unless all of them turn toward crypto it isn't possible.

On many forums, people sell PayPal money for cryptos and viceversa. They will continue to operate in their own ways.

I am not sure, but the Paypal user-base is expanding at a brisk pace. During the past few years, they have expanded quite a lot in India. Paypal in India is now giving tough competition to PayTM and Amazon Pay.

I agree on what you say since paypal is so long in the world people and other companies are used to have it and also they have strong investors and stake holders I think they can't be easily end

Paypal and the bitcoin totaly different kind of payment system. And also in last 2 years there are many countries banned the Paypal. Bitcoin has just borned and growing but the Paypal is dying.. Also you have to give your name, addressi credit card etc. with paypal but with yhe bitcoin or cryptos you can stay anonymous, and that is way better.

I don't think this will ever happen. PayPal is like a online bank which is regulated by the government or you can say the banks. So I have a question on that. Do you think banks will also be dead like PayPal?? I don't think so. Bank will never be dead. As long as the banks are alive so the PayPal will be. Bitcoin can reduce the banking transactions but can not kill it.

I think it won't. They are not competing as they offer different approaches. Still, we can compare them sand say that Bitcoin transactions are convenient but not so fast at this stage of development in comparison with Paypal. Bitcoin has to solve the issue with scalability to become massively used.

I don't think bitcoin would replace PayPal anytime soon, I believe bitcoin is doing amazing well, I think bitcoin and PayPal can coexist as methods of payment. Personally I prefer bitcoin to PayPal since bitcoin is widely accepted in many parts of the world.

Bitcoin can be used quite commonly in online payments on this forum or some other website, but it is not accepted and supported by banks. In contrast, Paypal is recognized by many banks and supported in exchange, so Bitcoin cannot destroy Paypal.

I think the convenience and speed of crypto transactions will bring an end to Paypal once security measures and user-friendliness improves. Paypal is secure and convenient but it has its downsides-it can freeze payments, sometimes up to 21 days..

I think the bitcoin can push to death paypal but it is a struggle will take long time by the users that, wait until paypal hard enough giants are too long, but can happen out. Wait until bitcoin to paypal.

I don't think bitcoin would be able to replace what paypal can do at the moment. The volume of transactions that the blockchain of bitcoin can process is still limited that's why if there are too many people who would be using it then it would take a long time for one to complete its transactions.

Aside from that, merchants still are not confident with bitcoin adopting it as payment option due to the fact that its price is fluctuating so there is a possibility for them to lose instead of gain from their business because most probably, they would still use fiat in their other transactions.

Yes I believe that bitcoin end paypal soon, it is not because of the market now we judge bitcoin according to this but we can see soon that it will be done. I believe crypto is the next money.
