In the spirit of mass adoption we are likely going to see the death of PayPal and other payment gateways. Do you foresee the death of PayPal soon by Bitcoin? At some point people would want to feel safe in not tying their credit cards to any online payment gateway. Your thoughts?

I think that PayPal and Bitcoin will exist in parallel. These two types of payments function in different ways. There are people to whom the functionality of PayPal is more suitable than Bitcoin. In any case, it is still too early to talk about the disappearance of PayPal.

Nope, BTC is a currency and Paypal is a payment processor, we can't compare these two.

If paypal thinks bitcoin would be harmful to itself, they create a cryptocurrency and adapt the system.

I don't think right now there is such a problem for them.

I think Bitcoin can not completely replace paypal, we still have to deal with small transactions that have too much transaction fees, and no country or country accepts a bitcoin for payment.

When ? Until now paypal remains a trusted tool in every online transaction.
bitcoin can be another option from online transaction tools, but now it's not really comprehensive because we all know its value is difficult to regulate.

When the adoption of bitcoin becomes worldwide and usage surging, surely Paypal and some other online payment gateways will be affected. If not for any other thing the service charge which is the payment for the P2P service will be saved by both transacting parties. The only down side for the bitcoin is the in ability of most would be users to understand the technicality of bitcoin and the operations. But all those who has a good grip of bitcoin will definitely abandon paypal and the other online payments outlets. But they will not fold their hands and allow their business to fold they are likely fight back by improving their services and reduced the service charge.

Not in the near future. PayPal has been a well-established website and many people still use it despite its flaws. Besides, PayPal and Bitcoin are different from each other. PayPal is a payment method, whereas bitcoin is a virtual currency. Perhaps it's more appropriate to compare it with blockchain, but not with bitcoin.

Maybe not Bitcoin, but some other cryptos could do that (with very low transfer fees and almost instant transaction time) at some moment. For now, the main drawback of cryptocurrencies to be used as a payment method is their volatility.

Paypal has some unique strengths that Crypto does not yet have, Paypal will be replaced if Bitcoin and altcoin get the specifications.

It is true that bitcoin is popular and more people are adopting to it but still, paypal as a way of payment online I believe cannot be replaced by bitcoin. First not all have visa credit card so they use paypal second not all have bitcoins so still paypal is an option. Third, not all accepts bitcoin or cryptocurrency as payment so paypal is still preferable.

i think bitcoin will not bring end to paypal.
bitcoin is a crypto currency and paypal is an e wallet service provider and payment provider.
both are different but paypal can use bitcoin in future.

I don't think so. Bitcoin is being popular over the world, but PayPal already a popular payment method in every big e-commerce websites or others payment section. Paypal is not volatile like bitcoin, Bitcoin won't overcome the PayPal value with this volatility! Do we really need to overcome PayPal? No, Rather we should Keep supporting Bitcoin and Paypal both!

Not only bitcoin, but the entire cryptocurrency, are racing to achieve the elusive adoption that will propel them to the top and bring a successful financial transaction system. So far, it is far from perfection. So, bitcoin won't bring an end to PayPal may be for the next 5 years.

i think no bro. yup bitcoin is popular. but paypal is more security

This comparison is very far in value. until now we know that Paypal is better than Bitcoin, except in terms of fees. But in my opinion it's still worth it. they have prices like that because they have quality. People will not pay for the brand, they will only pay because of the quality of services offered

but all cryptocurrencies can't refund your payment as Paypal do in a case of fraud vendors. for example, how can you get back your money with bitcoin or litecoin?

I believe if Bitcoin is approved and used globally with banks, Paypal and debit cards will become useless and no longer needed. But it is difficult to accept this as the government regulates the economic market through banks.

To invest in Bitcoin itself is only to support the team of developers of the core and interfaces with money. How to invest in the dollar? Donati fed on new features unless... In the dollar it is possible to try to remain as dollar it is possible to speculate. Similarly with bitcoins.

I think it is not. Bitcoin and Paypal could work together to be the end-to-end payment system, Bitcoin could be acquired by purchasing thru the use of Paypal and Paypal could be funded using Bitcoin. Paypal will not die just because of Bitcoin, it is already here and it would stay here even with Bitcoin around.
