I still prefer ETH and i will buy ETH instead of XRP. XRP has been FOMO too much recently and i think it will corrupt soon. ETH has value in long term, you could hold ETH without fear of losing value, it also has high potential to grow up.

I am still inclined to Eth, it seems that the eth struggle to maintain its value is strong enough, this will make many ethics holders keep it and believe that eth will be able to increase again.

Both of these are top coins and should be good to hold for long term and get nice returns with lower risk than many lesser known ones.

The market is half green, with ETH and XRP on the red side on coin360.
So, I think it's time to buy the cryptos. Which one would you prefer to invest and why?
I think I still invest in ETH instead of investing in XRP. As you can see, the XRP went up to ETH to take second place. ETH did not hesitate to raise their prices to regain second place. I think they have their own fund to inject value and I still support ETH.

I do prefer ethereum to buy right now, eth still on sideway condition, its good to open position at $230 then the first target that will hit by eth is $300.
It different with xrp because it already pump up to 100% by september, I suggest don't buy when it already green.

Of course Ethereum. I don't understand how you can compare ripple with ether in General, because ripple has virtually no product and this coin is not supported by anything.

I would go with both ETH and XRP for the long-term. They are both great projects with huge potential, and the fact that they offer different solutions and aren't competing with one another is another plus as this provides a little bit of diversification. Smart contracts and faster simpler payments should both be huge in the future.

I think everyone has a different purpose. now we know that the ETH is also falling from its throne. well, because of this, so many other developments have been done. What's more, the price of XRP has just been pumped very high. well, if the ETH doesn't show a good development, I think most people will switch to XRP, but for now, I might prefer ETH compared to XRP.
I totally agree. It's hard to compare coz these currencies are focused on different things. XRP is a bank-oriented coin. ETH is just an improved version of BTC, but still they aren't competitors.
I'm for ETH

For me, among these coins, the favorite is obvious, this is ethereum since I think that a ripple is a coin that is too centralized and therefore it has no greater future in the area in which they position themselves...

Everybody doesn't want the centralization that is being done by Ripple.

Personally, I'd like to have ETH and will say never to Ripple. We are just waiting for the Casper Protocol/Code that has been proposed before. Once ethereum became PoS for sure that it will increase its demand by the people who wants to have it and earn by just holding it.

I chose to hold Eth and see an interesting development, the competition with Ripple made me want to hold back and add eth.
Eth's potential and position many want it. And eth holders will be strong.

of course ethereum.

new fork is coming for eth in november. after this fork eth will be at least 400 dollar. 1.5x in 2 month
Certainly, any sane smart investor will want to choose ETH for a long term investment and I see XRP as just a manipulated market that can easily be pumped and dumped at any time, even though recently they have been having something good going for them, but notwithstanding, the fact that it remains centralized still brings about the skepticism whichever way. ETH has been a widely used smart contract platform, so it is normal for anyone to possibly go for a coin that is widely being used and have a great community backing it up.

The market is half green, with ETH and XRP on the red side on coin360.

I would say the market has been showing some prospect for a while now, and a good thing for me to have loaded up on most of the altcoins when touching the bottom and certainly, I would love to see how they will all be playing out anytime soon.

Towards the end of the month we might see some sideways for bitcoin and this would give the altcoins a chance to grow as much as they want to before we start seeing another days of the downtrend. When looking at these two coins, absolutely, I am sure no one would want to choose XRP over ETH in the long term.

Ethereum and Ripple indeed become rivals,
they compete for second place, I'm sure you won't regret if you invest in ripple or ethereum

If you have large capital it is very important you should invest now in both coins but if you want to choose from one then ripple is better to me.  I have been following ripple pricing and I seriously believe that it might get upwards in pricing than ethereum.

Ripple fights with ethereum only in terms of capitalization. However, ripple cannot compete with ethereum for the other characteristics. Ethereum is far superior to ripple in all respects. Therefore, you should invest mainly in ethereum. However, if finances allow, some money can be invested in ripple. This coin will also always be in demand because of its use in the banking sector.

In fact, today even cryptocurrency users still use the banking system for their needs. Thus, the bridge between cryptocurrency and real money should be and this function will be performed by Ripple.

It seems to me that If you compare these coins, you need to take into account the very first differences between them. These coins play completely different roles and they are not competitors.

My opinion is if you want to invest in crypto now then you should invest in ETH. Because ETH price is now about $220 and hopefully it will reach $700-1000 within the next 1-2 months I think.
That's why my opinion is it will be the best option for you. So buy ETH as much as you can and hold at least 2 months.

If I were you, should choose between ETH and XRP then I would not hesitate to select ETH because this is potential long-term crypto. Investing in ETH will ensure a profitable return in the future if it holds at least until the end of 2018. The cryptocurrency market situation at this point indicates a clear recovery sign will occur at the end of this year.
