We know that the real Satoshi reset the timestamps on his communication to +0 GMT as well as other things to stay hidden - why would such a person use his real name? Even a real name not used in 40 years would still be easily-ish trackable.

Do you have any other examples of Satoshi's measures to remain anonymous?

The reporter was committed to a certain theory and narrative from the get-go and shoehorned everything possible to clumsily fit that story, culminating in a creepy delusionally-reported in-person confrontation.

Simply put, no.
He isn't the only person in the world called Satoshi Nakamoto either.

I speculate that in the next several days something will be revealed that will exclude the Mr in the news from the potential founders of Bitcoin.

So I was right. And it took less than 24 hours, not several days.

It doesn't necessarily prove or disprove anything. Pretend if he was for a moment the real Satoshi, anyone in their right mind would distance themselves from being Satoshi as the media will constantly on your tail if not people with more malicious motives. The best way to distance is to deny, both Dorian himself and using the P2P account to deny.

On the other hand, if he wasn't Satoshi the real Satoshi would also deny Dorian being the guy as a) his privacy will be destroyed b) people believing Dorian to be Satoshi would still come after him.

In both cases the most logical move is to deny so there is no proof or otherwise to the claim.

yes, completely agree

even if he is or isn't he will always say he isn't

but if he admitted that's him that would have proven the story, so far the story is just a speculation

Even if he claimed it, there is no proof yet to show it is true. I could just as easily claim to be Jesus but without proof it's just a speculative claim. Aside from an old account verifying it or a signed message fro one of his keys it is unconfirmable.

With an old account there is always a possibility that someone hacked the account (although unlikely). However it would be next to impossible to steal a private key from Satoshi meaning that is the optimal means of proof.

I'd love to share the story of how i once set up a thing and left a trail pointing to someone who'd run a similar thing before.

But I can't.

Not surprised Satoshi did this, I hope he at least paid the guy though. I did it to screw someone royally (which I did) if he never paid this Dorian guy I feel for him.

This was the result after I voted:
Yes    - 22 (21.8%)
No    - 79 (78.2%)

I just want to ask those 22people(21.8%) that what makes them think that he's real Satoshi Nakamoto ..! I'm not trying to prove anything but I want to know there perspective too..! Want to know how strong there claims are.! Because Most of the info i gathered is from this forum and everyone here is claiming he's not satoshi .. and i can understand they have enough substance in their claims. so I believe so , but want to know more , someones perspective who thinks he's real

None of them can say anything solid. To be honest it's better if we don't know who is he. Makes the hype bigger.

Even though he denies it and even though the real satoshi made a comment on it, I'm still confident this is the guy. The consistencies far out weigh the inconsistencies. The fact that satoshi decides to come out of hiding the day this happens is just too coincidental. A man named satoshi nakamoto who just so happens to be a libertarian engineer who's worked on some top secret stuff is just too much evidence. Why are we assuming he worked alone? Perhaps he had someone translate his thoughts so it appeared he spoke perfect English. I'm still convinced this man his him.

This man is an exact clone of Satoshi Nakamoto.

To protect himself, Satoshi made many copies, all different ages, and planted them around the world. Without secret technology, there is no feasible way to extract private keys from any of them.

The legend continues...

I think he is  Satoshi. just three reasons:
1. His background
2.  The reporter use FBI support to get some data
3. the P2p statement use different Public key to deny that
so how much do u want to bet??? Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink

I really don't buy any of this. Lets make a bet on any of the sites that support this and put the money where our mouth is.
Please if someone has created the bet post it.
