xRapid goes live today, Ripple announces

Today Ripple announced on its blog that xRapid, a system which utilizes Ripple liquidity to send cross border payments, has officially become commercially available and already being used by customers. XRP saw an unsurprising jump in price as a result, and as of this writing very close to pushing back into second place.

Now let's watch and see how XRP will go to the moon or at least make a significant gains because of this new hype. Everyone should get onboard now. hehehe. It has surpassed ETH on the last couple of days but I don't think it will be enough though in the coming weeks or months.

I agree that it would create a significant change in the market which would give some profits but an announcement is just another news which would benefit mostly traders. After the hype it would again crash after a couple of days since Bitcoin traders have threats refer to: Crypto Market Crash

It looks like they are still preparing the system and try to do the more audit to the system of ripple. in fact that so many people have been waiting for that to go live. I believe there will be another huge news to buy more coin. As far as i know that if there will be a news and it could become a signal for these holders to dump their coin.

if you look at the charts and also the news from a while ago you can clearly see that what OP posted is not exactly news! it is pretty old. the "going live" happened now but the news of it came out before and they already pumped it and milked the news as much as they could. in short price went from around 6000 to 12000 satoshi and is dumping back down now.
there is no more room left for a new pump this soon. specially since XRP is already considered overpriced.

Great news for Ripple that their new technology is coming online but I get the feeling that quite a bit of the expectation was baked into the price in the past couple of weeks with that jump to almost $0.9 in a kind of buy the rumour sell the news type way.

Awesome! This should take XRP price to the moon! Or at least into the orbit since xRapid does actually use XRP for transactions (where previous xCurrent product didn't).
