There are a lot of questions that we can ask especially you'll be giving/contributing your money from a project that probably have a working project or from a scratch. Regarding this topic here are my questions: 1. How is it going to be useful in real world? 2. What is their action plan in delivering results? Using SMART 3. Targeted funding 4. Team members profile 5. Value of their coin/token and platform.

~snip~ What are the top 5 questions you would ask them? about their platform/ ~snip~
Personally, I am curious about how you determine the number of questions. Is it a must 5 (five) questions? I don't think so.. Questions for the platform:1. Could you tell us the detail information of your team members and advisors? 2. Show us the legality, registration status, and the track record of the platform? 3. How the platform can lead the project to be successful. 4. What are the guarantees offered to investors? ~snip~ What are the main things you would like to learn about them? about their project?
Main things of a project:1. Whitepaper 2. Plans, Ideas, strategies, and approaches 3. Project competitors 4. Partnership 5. Usability and function of project tokens (If any tokens or coins) 6. Project sustainability

many questions has been asked and there's always lots to ask which should be adressed by the team themselves right, but one thing that rarely seems to actually, truly be answered is: why does it need to be on blockchain?!

yes the question about "why does project need the blockchain" is good one, as sometimes thing don't need to use the blockchain tech really
the reason for the 5 questions i posted, is just the top 5 i meant
as there would be a more list of questions to ask.

Now choose a decent project is very difficult. Not all projects meet expectations and this is sad. To choose a rule project, first you need to study the development team.

I never ask about the project because they don't have history, so I only see the progress. All I want to know already on white paper and road map, as long realistic and fit with my knowledge I will support it with investment. Most people will not agree with me but I think read first ask later is better.

A good project is always not an end in itself. It has to make provisions to work with other platforms, future purposes and the class of exchanges. So responses in the future is better for me instead of immediate solutions.
