it normal to be drop by bounty hunter or someone that didnt trust the project. sometime the project has being abandoned by team. Sometime project need time to develop their project trust and make investors to dump their coin token..
probably the coin just isn't worth that much, or there could be a similar problem with it

I have taken part of some ICOs and everytime their token price goes down after the ICO.. why is that so?

EDIT:
oh, nice.. that was helpful and pretty much what I was looking for.. thanks for sharing

Take care!

I think that's normal because of Massive Selling and Low Buy orders. Maybe from ICO participants or the Bounty Participants or just and ordinary Market Condition lots of possible causes can be pointed out. But the Platform itself has a controlling factor to make the price stable like others do. Buyback the coin/token to prevent the price to dip more.

Immediately after the tokens are added to the listing, partners, advisers, project consultants, participants in the bounty and early investors who bought tokens at the pre-sales stage with a good discount start getting rid of them.
The price of the token begins to decline, which causes panic and leads to the fact that other investors begin to sell tokens in an attempt to save at least part of the investment. As a result, the asset price drops even more.

Most of the ICOs offer bounty and bounty hunters sell instantly after the coin/token get on exchanges. That's the initial reason. Also, ICo investors may sell if he/she gets little profit. Those are the reasons behind the price dropping.

This looks same like crypto coins when the market does down people start panicking and sell to get atleast a part of investment. There's no control in any tokens and people have get rid of it.

The fact is that developers get profits at the expense of investors, and they are not working on the development of the project. the developers called the price of the token during the ico of the company, and that was it. But when the token goes to the stock exchange, then because of the poor demand for the project or because of the poor state of the cryptocurrency market, the price falls several times.

Today, the decline after entering the exchange is always lower than the price of a coin on the main sale, a year ago the market situation was always different, after the release the price was always high, you need to wait

I have 3 reason why the token price drop after ICO, that is :
1. Bonus given when the ICO is very large, so that it makes the price of the token go down. because people will sell the token by reducing the bonus they get, for example, the bonus is 50%, so they sell below the ICO price of 30% they still get 20% profit from the bonus.
2. After distributing tokens for bounty hunters and airdrops, they immediately sell them without making a price (sell order).
3. investors do not trust the token anymore so they decide to sell it at a low price to return their money even in a loss.

Because that token was sold over price than how much it supposed to be or just by the people who invested on that project to make short term profits only so they will sell all their tokens soon it got into an exchange which causes the demand less and supply to more which eventually causes the price to be falling.

because it is influenced by bounty hunters and investors who get big bonuses. they always sell tokens they have only for a moment's profit. in my opinion a large sales bonus sometimes backfires for the project itself. they always sell tokens obtained from sales bonuses when tokens are newly listed to the market

Because of downward trend, because of low price of ETH, because it's not a good project to invest in,....there are so many reasons for this case but I think downward trend is still the main reason which lead to this case. Beside, ICO projects often lock price of ETH at $500 or $700 and it's also affect to price of token after ICO.

The answer is obvious: the market is ruled by bears, and those coins, which haven't got into this period of the market correction, fall together with the market and BTC. The situation is worse when people sell the coin right after it enters the market - it falls much lower.

Most at time token get dump by those that got it at no cost, either the bounty hunters or investors that got it at a ridiculous discount. It is very easy to dump a token that cost you nothing.

There are many reason a token price will drop below the ICO price after the ICO
1. One of the major reason is that much people are not interested to buy because the project doesn't have much hype
2. high bonus is another reason, when an ICO offers huge bonus to their investors, when it get listed people will dump below the ICO price to sell of quick because they will still make some gains.
3. Bounty hunters are known to sell tokens at any given price, so they dump and move on
4. Some times people will create some FUD about the project which will make the investors to try to sell as soon as possible
5. whenever the community lacks the trust of the project team, they won't believe in the project anymore, they will dump the tokens to move
6. Hackers could be another reason because when they get access to people wallet, they will made away with the tokens and sell it at any price to steal the money.
7. Bear market can also make the price to go down, whenever bear market is around, everything goes down.

that's a few cause in my own opinion why the ico prices goes below the ico price

There is a number of reasons for this.

1- The private group that is actually getting the tokens with sometimes 80% bonus.
2- The early phases bonuses that are offered by the project for the public they usually call it the pre-sale bonus then round 1 then round 2 and every stage or phase of them have different bonuses.
3- Bounty hunters selling their tokens to liquidate their rewards.

All this case the instant drop in price in most ICOs while you think -50% from original price is considered to be loos it most certainly is not loos for the for anyone who bought at 51%+ bonus so imagine 80%+ bonuses.

The main reason is that the majority of those buying tokens during ICO rely on the rapid growth and dumping of tokens after listing on the crypto exchange, as was the case in 2017 at the peak of the HYIP around cryptocurrencies. Very few invest in the idea behind the project and are ready to wait until the work product is presented.

One of the main reasons is found on the main page at coinmarketcap
I mean BTC Dominance
When it reach above 55%
This means that while large and strong currencies are not trusted for investors

What do you think of the new Tokens?

Yes, way too much hype. I created a yoken that is backed by profits from mining, and my early investors (from June!) are looking at 10x today. I know that there is a lot of spam and crap out there. But please look at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4627045.0 and give me a call if you want to learn more.

It seems many people says what causing the price of coin after ICO dropping, is because the bounty hunter dump their coins when it first time available in the market, but i think that would be another reason behind that.

Apart from the bounty or Airdrop hunters dump the coin,  most investors are profit oriented, no one is ready to Hodl the coin because of the products they stand to offer, any little increase in price will make people to sell off.
It's the case of who can cash out fast, and move to the next available project.

I have taken part of some ICOs and everytime their token price goes down after the ICO.. why is that so?

I agree with your point most investors run back to btc once it's increasing leaving the new project high and dry.

Most tokens are shit and are not worth investing in, only few actually have a good project and use case
