What is Ripple's plans for XRP if the banks have do not use for XRP?

I keep seeing the hype that banks are beginning to use Ripple based payment applications built on xCurrent and Ripplenet. But upon doing my research, no bank was using XRP and they might also have no interest to hold it because it might be illegal for them to.

What will happen to XRP?



The launch of the Ripple-powered app MoneyTap was announced on Twitter on Wednesday. It uses the Ripple’s product xCurrent to allow three major banks in Japan to conduct money transfers in real-time mode. SNB Sumishin Net Bank is among them along with two others.

Money can be transferred through the aforementioned mobile app, available both on iOS and Android.


To perform a transfer of their funds, customers will just need a smartphone and a QR-code. Money can be transferred either in the local or foreign fiat currencies. No commission is charged. The system is secured with a special system of biometric authentication by scanning fingerprints. Earlier, U.Today reported that a similar system is used on the Opera crypto wallet.

Unfortunately for crypto enthusiasts, XRP tokens are not engaged in this app. It is solely for fiat transactions.

No one exactly knows what they'd do if after all the announcement that XRP being used by banks but holders will surely dump what they have for a long time. Ripplenet though is becoming very huge over time for which they can buy all the xrp being dumped and soon find a way to make XRP useful. But if you are like the rest who are tired of the bullshit they announce, don't bother holding.

This is one of the shaddy business model in the space, why in the world do they great a token with no real usecase and it is sitting on number 3 on CMC, I know some people won't yield to warning like this and surely will continue to gamble with their money and eventually turn to bagholders. i think this is partly because of the difference between Ripple and XRP. if banks ever use anything they will use Ripple not XRP. in a way it is like the difference between bitcoin and blockchain.
XRP is the centralized token that Ripple foundation has created and fully controls but Ripple is the protocol that has been around long before XRP and i think it was around by the time of bitcoin too. it is that protocol that banks are interested in the most.

Research? I thought this was a well known fact, that Ripple the company and Ripple the token are only a link but we have known since last year that all their partnerships with banks was only using their technology, not their tokens. So they are earning well in fiat, they probably use it to buy up their cheap tokens and keep even more of it (they already own so much and just dump on users when price is high). XRP is for speculating,,, not for proper use.

Where can i find the utility of the XRP? if that was talking about the coin that used as alternative payment system and i should mention DAG because it was providing instant transaction with zero fees. It doesn't make sense a lot of people are still overrated with XRP. If i hold XRP and what can i do? i can do nothin'

Ripple offers 3 kinds of services to its customers Xcurrent, XVia and Xrapid out of this 3 only Xrapid utilises XRP coins utility. Ripple mentions on their site they have 112+ customers globally but it's not useful for the XRP coins price as most of this customer uses Xcurrent or XVia services. Now the ripple is effectively working on the development of the Xrapid and making partnership and clients for this service the price of XRP can boom in future.

They all been talking about that as I watch the interviews, I don't hear anything that make sense which make you care about why XRP will have its use case.  One thing they just focus is to make it as a currency, I don't know who is behind it but the exchange DCEX is built where XRP is always the base currency.

why in the world would they want to buy back?!!!
they are in full control of the whole supply of XRP and they have only released a small portion of the 100 billion. each time they pump this token they release a new batch and dump that on the market!

That should be true. Because then why would ripple create XRP token - an useless token?
Yesterday I sent transaction and it was confirmed in 10 seconds! But they promise 1 second transactions in the future!

I dont think that way, coin can be pumped hard if a coin is used for transaction, it just ripple system that adapted on banks, not ripple..4 $ may be in 5 years
