suggestion - Editing and preview sections are side by side

Normally I don't post frequently But when I post I use enough pictures for present my post. But every time I had to face a problem with the preview function. when the post is very long it is very difficult to reach to preview post and do corrections correctly. It is very difficult to scroll up and down to reach the post and edit it on the editing section.So my suggestion is locate edt section and preview section side by side. then it will be very easy to reach post and do correction. appreciate your suggestions and already using shortcuts for eliminate this problem.

A good suggestion (for desktop users) but imagine having this while using a cellphone (like your first two screenshots as opposed to third one [side by side example]), it shrinks the editing window drastically (even if you use "desktop mode" on your cellphone).
I think having a "floating side editing buttons" might actually solve this issue.

Yes that is a good suggestion floating side editing buttons will be good.I don't know about other people but when I try to post a long post always I use dextop.specially when I want to add pictures for post, so side by side only for dextop will solve this 90% of the problem ,I think .

Other than the smaller workspace I don't see any problem for a desktop user.

Personally though I don't mind scrolling up to see how the section I'm editing appears. My cursor stays where I was working and I just take a peak to make sure the correction is as I'd like.

Looks like the idea was obtained from ICO forum where there is similar of two windows one contains our writing contents and the other was the preview of that content but it is only for the desktop users,when we access the same site from the moile browser the site looks completely different all the tabs can be found on the side screen in ICO forum.

Anyway that is one of good feature to have while we edit lot of contents into one post.

But actually the site is not working now,it shows 524 error timeout occured maybe the site is under maintenance?! Few weeks before they were running a signature campaign in our Bitcointalk to advertise about their forum.

Normally "yes" but since current design of this forum isn't a "responsive" one, implementing such thing affects all users across different platforms (not only desktop users).

If it's not already done, then there's some reason why. A big possible reason is that I'm the only person who does development on the current code, and my time is limited. Another big reason is that this is a huge forum with complex dynamics, and even small policy changes can have big effects which need to be thought through very carefully.

Improvising solutions are our only option atm.

Good suggestion OP if you're using desktop or tablet but not with mobile.

That's not what actually theymos said about new forum but what he thinks about community suggested new forum policies.

Btw I'm a fan of "responsive forum" and @SFR10 why it's so hard to make forum into a resopnsive one?

Having said that, the "new forum software" will be a "responsive" one (no "ETA" yet):

Epochtalk is already responsive for mobile. We will also think about a native implementation if there is enough public demand.
