It is really interesting to see any comment coming from ethereum founder. If he truly leave this project, I believe there is a big reason behind not just in dropping value but more inside. Ethereum exist for many years and totally impossible that Vitalik would leave easily, I don't think so.

I guess Vitalik buterin really not intended to say that he is leaving the ethereum, i really think its metamorphically speaking that he is going to release the version 2.0 of the ethereum. If i were buterin i will really not leave on what i've been created for a long time that and is very successful in the present. But he leaves, then we have nothing to do with it and surely he will leave with purpose.

To think that Buterin would leave the Ethereum platform, is what I see not happening. He has not for once denounce or said he  would not support ethereum again, except to make it better. I believe that very soon, we will see more development on the ethereum platform.

buterin will never leave ethereum, he is the figurehead of this company and he knows that if he does go then it will simply fall. Perhaps he will sideline himself from day to day work and just be on the 'board' heading some type of community forum

I think it's just a bad rumor that the price of ETH is much lower. because I believe Buterin will still manage ETH, but that is just a rumor that worries many investors and sells ETH. Whales will take advantage of the opportunity to buy many ETH and will pump its price in the future.

I've been in Crypto for ages.

Ethereum, the way it has played out strongly reminds me of NXT. Another platform that was brand new code base, became a stellar (excuse the pun) performer for a long while (in crypto timescales) and then kinda ran out of steam and got enveloped in politics.

It wouldn't surprise me to hear that Butarin has jumped ship. No-one is currently, effectively leading Ethereum.
