Im really curious what other people think, but my own personal opinion is that these blockchain bitcoin conventions are overhyped over priced amateur meet-ups..

I don't like the fact they are asking for such large amounts of money for attending a blockchain or bitcoin convention...
I believe it does nothing for the community, the projects which are trying to gain an audience.. and I generally feel if somebody attends a blockchain event which charges more than 50$ a ticket.. people are just screaming this is a bubble! For some of the prices these tickets are I could have seen all the legends of rock and pop, not that I would have wanted to.. just a price comparison.

Phil Collins Tour - 40$+ per ticket

Eric Clapton Tour - 60$+ per ticket

ZZ TOP - 73$+ per ticket

Manchester United Tickets 250$+ per ticket

Consensus 2000$+ per ticket

Blockchain Expo 250$+ per ticket

Honey badger Riga 300$+ per ticket

What do you guys think?

The prices are really high but if you are pursuing a career in blockchain space you could get good connections there. I think it depends on the people/projects that are joining the conventions.

It depends who are speakers and how many of them, sometimes the price worth it.

Come on there is no career potential there, it’s a bunch of small skeleton team projects looking for investment and pitching their projects.

This is really expensive, such events, I believe, should be generally free, because we are all together developing cryptocurrency and need to do everything that would have learned about it all
