Someone on discord recommended me to gamble on a website and gave me a referral code. After that I won 0.6 BTC. When I withdraw, the website prompts "New user. Your balance have been frozen until you make a deposit. Need to make a Deposit 0.1 BTC!"
The URL of this website is here, please help me check if it is a scam.
https://bitcoinxbet.org/

I have not deposited any money so far, because my principle is not to deposit on unfamiliar websites.

It's 100% a scam. There is no legit gambling site that will first let you win 0.6BTC, but in order to withdraw it you'll need to deposit 0.1BTC. That's just an obvious scam.

https://bitcoinxbet.org/ This site is literally the crypto embodiment of all these fake CSGO gambling sites.

Also, it has no visitors AT all. See https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/bitcoinxbet.org, but every 120 seconds, there is a pot worth 2 grand. The people gambling there are so obviously fake.. Don't give them a single dime!

If it's too good to be true it is 99.999 percent a scam.  Unfortunately these scammers keep attempting these scams on people because sadly a lot of people fall for it.

Friend, you were done it right. remember that there is no free lunch in the world. If you get 0.6BTC easily one day, then this must not be normal.

Looks shady after seeing their FAQ stating a typo.

You can up your balance on "ADD FOUNDS" window.

Another part that made the site scammy is the chatbox, you'll notice that most of the users have Bitcointalk profiles(mdayonliner,BADecker, etc) to trick new users.

Good thing that you've asked here because this thread can serve as a reference for the others so they won't get scammed in the future.

Edit : That smaq user who gave you the code is the owner of the site. 100%

This is really a joke. smaq said that I was a scamer and defrauded him of 0.07 BTC.(The time in the chat is 11:07 PM)Scamer instead said that someone else was scamer. Really funny.

Of course it's a scam.

I don't get why are you replying unwanted messages. I'm not aware of any single case when such message (especially those promising you profit, super opportunity etc.) would eventually bring something positive to receiver. It's always scam.

Think twice. If the sender really had something good to offer he certainly would not share it with stranger (definitely would go tell his friends only ).
Hope you didn't made the deposit and learned a lesson.

I just want to see what he is going to do. I want to know how scamer is deceiving, just curious.  Wink
In fact, I suspected it from the beginning.

Ok, good for you. I did that in past as well just out of curiosity. But not anymore because I think any reply they receive can convince them it's actually working and motivate them to continue.

That wouldn't really comfort me to bet all that much if that were to be all/my only reference of said site.

I think there's probably more to it then them two just being randomly picked by the presumed "owner" of the site...?

Edit: Nevermind. I now see a lot more profiles popping up as well. It does look pretty random.

It sounds like a scam. Because you already won 0.6 BTC for without any deposit. When you going to withdraw if they ask a 0.1 deposit for it. Why they can't take 0.1 BTC from your 0.6 BTC balance? This is a new way of scam. Then keep safe your money, my friend. In my opinion, is do not gamble.

That's a high minimum deposit requirement for a casino and that's a typical scam that requires to deposit certain amount first before withdrawing your balance.

Excuse me! Having negative trust on my profile does not mean that I scammed anyone or even tried to scam anyone on this forum or anywhere else. Even, I never asked a penny from anyone in this site. If having negative trust on a profile means that someone is a scammer (cheated or stole money or done shady activities in anywhere) then the entire trust system is a misleading system because in my whole life I never committed such action. Hope it make sense. You guys make me regret joining this community and using my real identity.

I can confirm that whoever the owner of that site - they are trying to use my username with the other guy. Before reading this topic I have no idea about this site. In-fact it made me curious why did someone even tried to use my name. Am I that much known face in BitcoinTalk? LOL

By the way, I was encountered a site which had same behavior (I guess) and here is the topic I created.

I can confirm that this kind of approach means they are scam.
So, if the deposit amount has changed in your case then the person is developing the site for sure (admin) and trying to trick people with different initial amounts to see which one works best. Everything else on the website you are seeing (other users) are just auto bots IMO.

It's not just me someone else also had the same experience.

Be happy be at peace. Looking forward to BTC at $1M

This is a really great research the one you've done. Thanks for sharing, this way you've not only helped the OP with his problem but others like me in how to know if a website is a scam or seems legit (although I usually follow my intuition, it's a good thing to have the resources to check it sometimes, just in case).

What a poor website scam is that, while you easily won 0.6 btc you are still obligable to deposit 0.1 btc to unfroze your btc, LOL! at the first place why did your btc been frozen, what is that reason? this is just a website with a bad intention, in short SCAM!..
Don't be scammed with this poor website, let's pray for their soul to be a good man.

Definitely a scam, you already won but they want you to deposit first before you can claim your winnings.  Everyone should not believe in this kinds of programs especially those who are new to crypto.
