I am a victim of loses to an address that was generated in one of my wallets. Since it happened after an update on the wallet in question, I was thinking it was a security update sort of!! I sent money to the address that was presented newly to me as against the address I know! that transaction is been stuck  on the blockchain for 3 months now! no other transaction has occured on that address just that one transaction from me! No deposits and no withdrawals on it yet. Can't get the coin because I don't have the private key! Any suggestions on how to recover?? Is it even possible?

If you don't have the privatekeys, you cannot recover your funds.

But maybe you have the privatekeys...

What is your wallet?
Can you share with us the public address? You said your transaction is stuck... Wasn't it confirmed yet? If it has any confirmation, it is not stuck.

Do you have the seed for your wallet?

If you don't have the seed or the correct private key, you are out of luck.

But, first start off with the wallet you were using. The private keys should be stored inside of this wallet.
How to exactly extract the private keys (to import them into another wallet) depends on the wallet you are using (which one is it ?).

Can you share the address you are talking about ? No transaction should be 'stuck' (unconfirmed) for 3 months.
Even 1 sat/B transactions (lowest possible fee) do get confirmed relatively fast.

So please share the address with us or check it yourself on a blockexplorer whether the transaction is confirmed or unconfirmed.
Note, that 'unspent' means that the UTXO is sitting on this address and has not peen spent yet (ready to spent -> therefore unspent).

Transaction is been confirmed to be sitting on the address. But no seed, no private keys! The Address I sent to was Auto generated, I later discovered it wasn't even part of the wallet and the  private key to the wallet on which it was generated doesn't even work with the new address!

Transaction is been confirmed to be sitting on the address. But no seed, no private keys! The Address I sent to was Auto generated,

Answer the questions we ask you, if you want proper help. Ready my last post and please answer my questions.

Regarding your concerns, usually wallets are HD wallets (unfortunately you didn't reply to my question, so we don't know which of the 40 wallets you are talking about).
HD wallets do generate a private- / public- keypair for each incoming transaction.

I later discovered it wasn't even part of the wallet and the private key to the wallet on which it was generated doesn't even work with the new address!

How did you discover that ? Chances are high you just misinterpret what you see.
Each address has its own private key. But all of them are derived from the seed used (backup ?).

You seem to have quite a lot misconceptions about how bitcoin / wallets work. Please answer all questions as detailed as possible. This makes it way easier for us to help you.

My sincere apologies! I typed "Bitcoin" instead of "Coin" on the topic! I was trying to change it to coin to avoid troubles since this forum is for Bitcoin alone, I was meant to type it in altcoin technical support! the coin in question is Electracoin. Since I'm new to the space, can't really differenciate wallets if they are HD or so?? but here is the address;
EspLurpNXo92silofWSUZFRFD8zTbPRPNJ. Ones again Apologies for posting here instead of altcoin technical support

Well, hiding which cryptocurrency you are talking about doesn't really help.
other coins have different software and many of them have bad wallets or wallets infected with virus.

You need to post more information. Electracoin... Did you use their official wallet?
There is no such board as altcoin technical support, and I think that could be really helpful

I used their official website and downloaded the wallet from there! I had laid a complain on electracoin support! No one fixed it so I thought I could get a response on Bitcointalk.org since here is a pool of experience developers and trailblazers in the space! Was thinking there is another way around recovering from such loses
