how to get my account back

It's been a while since I logged in, but I tried to login with my old username today (axel2078) and it kept saying my password was wrong, even though I know it's not.  I tried to do the password reset using my username and it said it sent the link to reset it, but I never got it via email.  I then tried it again using my email address instead of my username and it said that email does not exist, so I'm guessing someone managed to discover my password and took control of my account.  Is there a way to get control of my account again?  Is there a mod/webmaster I can talk to about it?  Thanks.

Your account must have been hacked because even if you don't login for a while and if you're a newbie than they do banned your account but you are still allowed to login.

You can do what TryNinja said and follow the link and see if you can recover yours.

Just don't get your hopes high, there are people waiting for more than a year now and still don't have access to their accounts whether it's been hacked or not.

No, that was most definitely not me. I haven’t changed my password in more than a year. That was stupid on my part since the password wasn’t very complex to begin with. I will check out that link.

It appears that whoever hijacked my account has been posting as me as well as recently as the end of Sept.  This is super frustrating.

No, that was most definitely not me. I haven’t changed my password in more than a year. That was stupid on my part since the password wasn’t very complex to begin with. I will check out that link.

Then you definitely got hacked. The only think you can do is sign a message from a staked address and sent it to the admins (as explained in the thread I linked above). P.S: it’s going to take a while for them to get back to you.

Unfortunately, recovery through moderation of the project is impossible. More precisely, perhaps, but somewhere in the dreams.
