How can we get people to use bitcoin as a real currency and not just a quick way to get cash as a lot of people seem to do? When I say currency, I mean the literal definition of currency as something that is used as a medium of exchange.
Even online, there are only a few stores who are accepting it as payment.
It will take a lot of time before people use bitcoin as a currency , as of now only the fiat currency is the most use as payments method. There are some online shops that are accepting bitcoin as payments but not all people knows about it. Like in shopee where cryptocurrency is acceptable as payment method and few knows about it.

the most likely way to do this must be through online trading sites where payment activities are needed to use bitcoin, or encourage the government to legalize bitcoin so that it can be used in buying and selling and may have to promote that bitcoin is the future currency or digital currency , and not a commodity or asset, which is only for sale.

It is only through effective awareness creation that crypto can reach out to most of the people. Through the awareness creation, crypto will be made known to new people and also to the people who have heard about crypto yet have some misconceptions about how it works. Users of crypto with businesses have to integrate crypto into their payments and offer discounts for purchases made with cryptocurrency.

I think its depending on merchant. Some merchant accept bitcoin and many merchant still afraid accepting bitcoin because government regulation. But in near future, i am believe more merchant accepting bitcoin as currency
The key is only 1 so that many people want to use bitcoin as their currency to pay for their needs, all merchants accept bitcoin payments, because one of the things that makes people reluctant to use bitcoin currency is because of difficulties in spending and difficult in finding stores that accept bitcoin payments..

What you are telling is true, until the respective governments dont legalise the bitcoin and other cryptocurrency, merchants wont be able to accept it as payment because they have to show the transaction in tax and if it is ban then it become they are doing illegal business.

You can see that in Japan and other country where bitcoin is legal, their are so many shops and other places where you can use bitcoin and other cryptocurrency as a regular way like they are using fiat currency.

My country bitcoin and other cryptocurrency is illegal and the government have issued notice to not to use cryptocurrency and doing show their bank accounts will be banned. That is why i have to convert it to fiat currency and use it, as their is no other way.

I think as soon as the U.S. dollar loses its place as the world's reserve currency, maybe $BTC will have a chance.

I think we can get people to use bitcoin as a real currency is by encouraging them the convience of using a bitcoin and explaining the advantages of having a bitcoin. There are few stores in my country that are already accepting bitcoin, so i think soon bitcoin can be used and accepted for transactions.

To get people to start using Bitcoin as they would their Fiat currency is by ensuring that the Bitcoin technology scalability , interoperability and security issues etc are handled as this would further bonds the trust of the public.
Again, measures should be put in place to make owning Bitcoin and using it to purchase goods and services easier....I understand it boils down to above issues .

I think it will be very difficult because not everyone will take the risk to put there money in bitcoin and some of them are still unfamiliar with it, but we can get people to use bitcoin as a currency is by teaching them or giving them knowledge about bitcoin and blockchain technology for them to be encourage to use bitcoin instead of using cash.

I doubt that we can speed up this process a lot. We probably can help it develop but mostly it doesn't depend on what we do, I think.

I think that firstly we should make BTC stable and widely usable... Otherwise it wouldn't be able to replace fiat currencies.

I am not sure if BTC is still in line to be a 'currency' as it was first envisioned by Satoshi! It certainly is acting as a store of wealth and the economic motivations for reducing fees would actually not help the velocity of BTC. The less it moves the more is behaves like a store of value. Plus being non-inflationary it isn't well suited to global use as a currency. More and more it is becoming a hedge asset for global risk not a currency.
Money needs to also be a store of value, that concept has been forgotten because people have gotten too used to use fiat for their transactions, but in the past this was not the case and it's clear to me that those days are going to come back, because it is impossible for the current fiat system to last forever since we are already seeing signs that it's going to fail.

If we start sharing today and tell them how exactly bitcoin and other cryptos will work as currency, then that can be possible, in my opinion. The only problem that i see is that are they willing to use it despite its complexity and high price.

Using bitcoin as a currency is a choice and there is no way anyone can force any other person to do so. However, I guess the easiest way to make people want to show interest is to create some awareness through merchants accepting the use of bitcoin as a payment method, and in that case, since humans love new things, as long as it is easy for them, they see the value when it comes to that ease and their ability to spend easily without having to be monitored by the government or banks in which they are their own banks, this is something that would easily make it possible to start seeing real life usage.

One way to do it is educating people about bitcoin thru conference and the most effective way is using social medias. Nowadays people are mostly spent their lives thru online social medias, by that medium we can urge people and attract their attentions so that we can give knowledge about it on how we can change the payment system on daily basis as a currency, with that we can show them awareness about bitcoin.

I think there are many possible ways on how to let people use butcoin as a currency, some needs to be processed first by the government but there are some easy ways, one example is by simply asking for bitcoin or cryptocurrencies as payment, this way people will gain knowledge about bitcoin and eventually when there are enough people who use cryptocurrency then the government might take crypto currency as a currency like fiat in consideration.

Bitcoin is virtual currency but it has real uses. In its real form it can use only over Internet digitally. But in order to use it as a physical form you can convert it into any nation currency. It has many online use because of its high market availability. Its use by many online retailers and bussinessman for their various purposes. You can use it to booking a ticket, booking a flight or hotel, use it for paying monthly payments, rents etc. You can do all those things which you can do with the help of real currency.

We just need to have more online stores or even physical stores to start accepting bitcoin as money. Once that happens, then it can really be considered as a "real" currency. When that time comes then it will be more beneficial to us with its decentralized character instead of the current banking system.

More industries should support bitcoin. Although bitcoin price is not stable yet but there are some vendors who manage bitcoin and fiat transactions so the transaction wipl be very quick and the industries still can get fiat for their products or services. Atleast we can send email to some companies and ask them to accept bitcoin as payment methode.

We don't get people to use bitcoin as real currency because of its volatility. We can easily convert bitcoin into fiat through some exchangers. Maybe we should be focus on how can we inform the people about cryptocurrency and blockchain and its function so that the value of cryptos will increase.
