How can we get people to use bitcoin as a real currency and not just a quick way to get cash as a lot of people seem to do? When I say currency, I mean the literal definition of currency as something that is used as a medium of exchange.
Even online, there are only a few stores who are accepting it as payment.

I don't think it makes sense for people to use bitcoin and help society go up. Why do we need to use bitcoin and every transaction always needs miners to process blocks, while we have e-wallets to trade fiat money with seemingly zero fees?
The use of bitcoin or coins is reasonable but it should only be small scale. We will never be sure what the future of bitcoin will be like. So holding such a currency is not a wise decision.

It is different from people to people. Some only consider it as an asset, so they choose to hold whatever amount of Bitcoin they have at their disposal. And I would guess, these people are "casual" traders/gamblers, as they will only trade if the price is right and gamble if the exchange is reasonable. And some only consider Bitcoin as a currency--they will use it on their daily basis, not necessarily "expend" it but rather use it as means of trading/gambling. These people are the ones who are very active and will always monitor the changes in Bitcoin's price and use it as an advantage in their activities.

Before thinking about how could we make people use bitcoin as a currency, we need to think more about how can we persuade each and every government to support using bitcoin and completely accept it so that a massive adaption could take place. Lessening restrictions and getting businesses. even the small ones into getting to know bitcoin. Aside from the fact that not everyone is well educated and enlightened enough about the currency, the suppressing government implementing so many restrictions, regulations and conditions against bitcoin is what hinders the catalysts of using it.

We however can't use it daily if there aren't stores accepting BTC. There are so much malls in my country almost every city has huge malls competing each other but none of the stores in it are accepting BTC. It could be because the government doesn't have any legal statement about BTC but if there is legalization, stores my start seeing BTC to be just as fiat is. We can then spend our BTC for dinner, buying stuff and probably even when having a simple haircut.

I think we encourage them to use bitcoin through showing them the perks of having and using them specially in the new age where technology arises more and more as time passes by. We can also share our experiences with our investment although we are actually experiencing crisis in bitcoin. Although we are explaining everything from a friend and to our relatives, if their mind is closed and they don't want to get involved in it, then we should not waste our time explaining over and over again, sometimes, we should give them time for them to explore on their own, at least we give them some ideas regarding it.

Even if the crypto market is widely accepted i doubt anyone will start accepting coins like USDT, to use something as a mode of payment you need to have some incentives and if you are using a stable currency then why not use the fiat currency which is more secure than using a non transparent currency like USDT.

There are merchants that accept bitcoin and it depends upon the country you are from, here in my area there are merchants that are accepting different crypto but global adaptation might take time.

The easiest way is to get a quick and easy option to deposit crypto to account. For example using Revolut banking. You have a free card, deposit some btc there, it automatically converts to currency of a country you are in - use card everyone (shops, cafés, atm).

To bad this is not a 100% easy and safe way (speaking about Revolut). There are lots of cases in reddit of user accounts/cards being frozen. But this is just a beginning. Maybe someone will improve the whole system and it will be used more often and worldwide.

Well, I don't think this is an easy task. I like to use Bitcoin as a currency because I love the fact that I actually have use of it in real world but majority of people still see Bitcoin as an asset. They are afraid to lose something if they would use Bitcoin as a currency.

That's the risk of Bitcoin if we will make it is a way of currency, as the price of it is not like dollar that is only changing on a daily basis, crpto is very different, it varies in value every seconds, so it will be hard for us if we will use it as our currency unless we will convert it first from our local currency before using it.
