Hi Everyone!
I'm a Newbie here and I would love to hear some of your experiences with Bounty campaigns.  ( some examples )

The question is : What would you change or might add to make it more reliable or interesting?

Reduce the number of posts from 15 to 10

it'll definitely help us cut down on spam posts,15 posts a week is so much IMO, and considering the fact that spammers are only concerned about completing their arduos task with no knowledge or Effort towards contributing to our forum,

Hence a reduction in the number of the posts per week will help us cut down on spam.

1. Add merit requirements for the participants:
Jr. Member 6 and above
Member 15 above
Full member 110
Sr. member 265
Hero 515
Legendary 1015

2. Add rules for the Bounty Managers and penalties

3. Restrict the participants up to 100 max.

4. Kick out everyone quoting their reports from previous weeks.

5. Pay only in bitcoin/eth to avoid scammers

6. Every manager who have not enough trust rating to you an escrow.

Double it.
On the one hand, this will reduce the number of campaigns (which is not bad) and most importantly it will force managers to choose projects more carefully. I believe that campaign managers should bear the same responsibility for the success/failure of the project as the developers.

The bounty campaigns have changed right now. The main problems are hunters not getting profitable rewards, too many scam projects, a large number of participants, hunters cheating and spamming etc.

The question is : What would you change or might add to make it more reliable or interesting?

1. Add rank, merit requirements to participate in bounty campaigns.
2. Remove the social media reposting campaigns. (Most hunters are cheating with fake followers, friends with social media profiles and spamming because those activities are not a good thing for the project)
3. Accept high-quality articles, videos, infographics. (Please let them share those activities from social media)
4. Make payments weekly or monthly via bitcoin or ethereum. (Because payments via own tokens losing a large number of investors. We can see huge dump on after bounty distribution. The next thing is payments are guaranteed and bounty hunters know they are not wasting their time)
5. Add some rules for bounty managers.

I don't think bounty managers and project owners not going to follow this rules. Because of most scam projects are not going to pay with bitcoin or ethereum and they want flood spam posts about their projects. They only need to collect funds. I think bitcointalk have to change this to avoid scam ICOs.

I think the best thing that could happen to bounty management is the restriction on the maximum number of participants a particular manager can handle. If a campaign is going to be inviting huge number of participants, then the managers should be more than one person. The same thing goes for the various arms of bounties being managed by different individuals with that, there would close monitoring and ensuring only quality contents are shunned out and improvement can be seen in that section of the forum.

Escrow is a must
•Only reputable managers should be hired with past experiences
•BTC/ETH and other altcoins that had value in the market should be the payout (not worthless tokens)
•Maximum participant should be on 50 per bounty program
•Post count 7-10 per week

I personally look for the following in a signature campaign:

• BTC payment (I don't like payment in ETH), no tokens whatsoever as value often plummets after bounties are released, some just turn into shitcoins.
• A trustworthy signature campaign manager with history and trust on the forums, must be active on the forums and in the community
• Reasonable merit requirements. I feel some campaigns have rather high merit requirements, though most are fine with requirements below 50 plus the base merit requirement for the rank.
• Reasonable posts/week. I don't want to join a a campaign that requires I post 50 times in a week, and I feel most other people are this way. Chipmixer does this concept well, with a high maximum post count and a stable pay-per-post rate so both active and less active members are fairly paid.
• Escrow is a must for lesser-trusted organizations. The particular campaign I am currently participating in, FortuneJack's signature campaign, is not escrowed, but the site has enough trust and history that I feel it's fine that funds are not escrowed, though this should be used in campaigns for newer organizations.

You have many good points.

1. I really like the idea of getting rank for active participant, it would encourage and stimulate people to remain active on the campaign.
2. Reposting is one more way to grow the community and in my opinion is very effective. There are some apps where you can spot fake followers. It could be improved but IMO  should be kept in the bounty.

You should write for whom it is supposed to be more interesting, for the owner, for participants or for clients ..?
For the owner, definitely the largest advertising area.
For participants - reward.
For customers - the product and its price.

I'd say the content quality woyld be greatly improved if you actually built better documentation for which reading of is an absolute requirement. Think a lot of the material I see written or promoted basically parrots what's easily available, if not with a lot of errors or factual discrepancies. Then again, people who know the technical details well aren't usually doing these "bounties"... So maybe there's an area to look into?

The question is : What would you change or might add to make it more reliable or interesting?
The comments above made a lot of logical solutions, but the only way to do that is to raise awareness.
If people don’t participate in these campaigns until they have escrowed their money, "which means BTC or guaranteed altcoins," the number of such campaigns will decrease significantly and thus scam one.
The development of rules may be useful in limiting those campaigns, but there will be a lot of ways to get around it, which will serve for more spam.

It won't change. People will keep participating as they are sending money to scam operators, even when those operators get busted or straight off say that they're running a ponzi scheme. The only way to change campaigns is from the source which is the person paying for the campaign and the person managing it.
They won't change on their own because they know that people with red trust or no merit will work for lower tips.

My ideas:
1. This is difficult to implement in free narket, but I want that campaign managers would be reputable and experienced members. Random Newbies shouldn't be allowed to run campaigns. But it's utopia - who will decide which person can run campaign and who can't.
2. This is Bitcoin forum, so I think that bounty campaigns should pay in BTC only. Now ICO's are just creating tokens for bounty participants from thin air without expenses. Requirement to pay in real money would give some responsibilty and maybe campaigns would be done more professionally. As we already see, mostly Bitcoin paying campaigns aren't accepting spammers. But I imagine that reauirement to pay in BTC or established altcoin would reduce number of bounty campaigns by 90%.
3. Don't allow to make social media reports on Bitcointalk. It can be done using Google forms. But I don't know how such type of campaigns can be effective. Fake FB/Twitter profiles with fake friends and followers sharing promotional stuff. I don't think that big number of potential investors see this stuff.
4. Merit requirements. It's obvious why it's needed.
5. Users with negative trust ratings shouldn't be accepted. Now such users still don't have problems to find bounty which accept them.
6. Number of accepted users must be limited. It's impossible that campaign manager would review posts made by 200 participants each week.
That's all. Maybe I missed some aspects, some things was already said by people above, but in my personal opinion these things is most important.

Bounty campaigns function similarly to any market related to public relations. The same instruments are used to encourage people to buy - social media, banners and a lot of promises. It is nothing new - just turn on TV and you will have the best school of pr campaign.

Do you think those stakes should be cut down too because of not posting accordingly to the maximum post per week? I think it's also a part of their strategy to choose someone who posted on a different board of the forum to expand their advertisement of signature. But i don't like those who post on a spam thread which is unprofessional in my part.

I agree with you at all. Paying in just created altcoin or token facilitates the launch of the campaign so they opt for massive campaigns with a large number of participants. Quality of campaign is very low at the end the payout is very small or inaccurate.

1. Restrict bounty campaigns to only participants from first world countries. This will avoid all the shit-posting/scams/cheating on the forum through the bounty campaigns.

2. Remove bounty campaigns from bitcointalk forever. This will avoid bounty whores to breed here.

3. Fuck the bounty campaigns.

Red trusted BMs shouldn't be allowed to manage campaigns.
Reports should be made on forms, not here on the forum.
There should be rewards for whoever finds scamming hunters in a campaign.

We can see already lot of changes in the signature campaigns which are paying in weekly basis, they already added merit requirements and selection process get strict nowadays so the spammers are going for the bounty campaigns which are paying in tokens but there also merit requirements need to be added to save forum from the spam.Maybe we need some criteria to be a bounty manager, the copper membership or campaign run on their own will not be allowed to manage campaigns.
