How can we stop Bitcoin's negative publicity?-Rebranding.

In my personal opinion, I don't think bitcoin needs any rebranding. Bitcoin is already a big name and it has stood the test of time and triumphed over every form of attack. This is no mean feat, I am sure that the people circulating negative news about bitcoin know that they can't succeed.

I would agree. We can ignore negativity and what would be even better - spread positive information about BTC and what it does. That way attracting more people !

So I am subscribed to quite a few crypto news and general news websites; and one thing that frustrates me to no end is to see such negative publicity of this currency!
And I know most of the people are of the opinion that bitcoin doesn't really need publicity! But I think a little rebranding is very much needed to put bitcoin in the good light.Try to focus on the good things of it, its qualities, maybe it will help it to stabilize or something?

It is not just the bitcoin but the whole cryptomarket is going through a public negative rebranding because of people who do not know it, they often called it as a kind of scam which is totally not. There are many people who literally do not know bitcoin but spread shitty news on it. I would be very glad if the bull runs off this year and sees negative people crazy buying bitcoin.

I think bitcoin need publicity, bitcoin popularity need to be increase so a lot of people know and it could attract new investors, as long as there is a person that used crypto for bad things the negative news will keep on appearing and the media really like to expose the negative side of bitcoin, the one that we can do is to keep on giving a proper explanation and knowledge for people, it can be from Youtube, blog or seminar

"Rebranding" cannot occur until bitcoin starts gaining in price again.  That's the only way the "rebranding" will work for the masses.

Why does the price matter? Even if it started to rise again you'd still get fud and panic-spreading in the media as their headlines will just change to "is this another bubble" or "when is the bubble going to pop". Now that such a drop happened from $20k to $6k all they'll ever talk about is how long it is untill the bubble bursts again.

You cannot change the history of this technology. Things like Silkroad and Mt Gox will forever stay in people's minds, when they think about Bitcoin, because it is part of it's history. The thing that can be changed, is it's future. The positive things that we do now, will change it's future.

Find some killer application for the Lightning Network and something that would disrupt the corrupt Banking and financial institutions and we will make a positive impact on it's future. 

I very rarely ever hear about the media talking about Silk Road and certainly not Mt.Gox. Those things are ancient history, but as I said above their new line of fud is just bitcoin being a bubble and that's enough to scare most people away.

lightning is not bitcoin. it actually asks users to add in the chainhash, to allow the node to know which chains to monitor. lightning is a multicoin network of IOU transactions measured in 12 decimals.

in short lightning is a visa app to different nations fiat..
(swap visa for LN and swap 'nations fiat' for altcoins)
thus making lightning a killer app for crypto currency (coins) and not a feature of pure bitcoin

Bitcoin is here to stay according to Warren Buffet .there is no currency that is been advertise to  the public to be use since the inception of financial revolution. what we need is more usage in online shops. we can also create our individual shops online where we only accept cryptocurrency for the purchase of goods and service only . by so doing many we have no choices than to use cryptocurrency . it must start from us here

I do not see any negative coming from Bitcoin, and you find it contrary because you are looking at it as a negative angle so looks at it in a different perspective. Bitcoin is not harmful and it does not make things worse because people use it for wrong actions.

By making advertisement in social media, live stream, personal website or making testimonies or videos in youtube. The more people who uses it the more it attracts others to invest in it. Actually criticism has it's pros and cons because of it more people gets to know about it.

Are you sure about that? Can you provide a source? From what I've read he advises people to stay well away from cryptos and thinks they will come to a bad ending at some point:

Buffet may be a great investor but I wouldn't take everything he says as gospel and he's a bit of a dinosaur when it comes to new tech. That's not to say he won't be wrong though, but I think he's a different type of investor.

Negative news about Bitcoin is mostly dismissed by bears, wanting to lower its price and subsequently make good money on it. Bitcoin is a digital asset and by its nature it is neutral and cannot harm anyone. Disadvantages such as? Now dont go into conspiracy theories and fees being too high. Some people in this forum are just ready to create every story they can for bagholding their shitcoin that they forget their basics about bitcoin and how it is being developed.

Those people are mainly disgruntled because they got into a new altcoin which promised them something big but they are unable to that something big - false promises and lies anyone?

Most of the time we believe such kind of fake news. We saw that many fake news already had passed but nothing to happen. For this only price got down. It is happening for ourselves. If we don't believe such kind of fake news, we can contribute on progress of bitcoin.

I don't think so, especially in the current situation, there are many factors that cause one of them so that bitcoin falls dramatically and this is an opportunity for popes, if you look at the market you can still make speculations to bring profits even though the risk is quite large.

Do you have your head in the sand? The negativity comes from the media which then sways the opinion of the general public, and sadly most of the general public are sheeple and more inclined to believe whatever they read in the newspapers or see on TV. I'd say probably 80% of the stories I see or read about in the mainstream media these days are negative in some aspect. They rarely ever talk about developments or price rises, and as I said before even when bitcoin falls by $100 or so the headline is never just "Bitcoin drops by $100" but rather "BILLIONS WIPED OFF THE VALUE OF BITCOIN" which only causes more negativity and fud.
