Why are we not talking about the fact that the huge transaction is made up of goxcoins?

the input for the 50k is 1 address away from the 550k address that karpeles used.

That ฿550k transaction was made by Karpeles. The ฿50k output has been sitting there untouched since 2011."

Yeah, He is, He won't give an exact explanation of What happened to all the bitcoins, Just that they are "gone"
*cough* Bitcoins are 100% trackable... They don't just "poof" unless someone hits the delete button or sends the coins to the 1bitcoineateraddresswarningdonotsend

Here we see that 500k bitcoins are being moved around... They are Mt.Gox coins, Which prooves that SOMEONE has access to them

They are being split up into smaller chunks. Including a tiny amount to a gambling site, presumably to see if he could win big and come out 744000BTC ahead. Oh Mark, you're such a character :/

So, maybe a new exchange - or maybe he's getting ready to mix those coins and disappear them.

It seems that the 50k originated from this 500k BTC pile sent to Gox on November 18 2011.

If true, this is looking like good news for creditors - unless this is just one huge retainer for their legal firm.  Smiley

MtGox is either in control of the coins or someone else is and they're being run through the exact same Mtgox fund disbursement algorithm, which seems far less likely.

What's the plan? Halve the amounts until they cannot be halved anymore? I don't know if the network wants that much traffic. Currently down to ~40 BTC per address:
https://blockchain.info/address/1C1MnLtnsfa4Py9EBzzJ4iWvYMuwUBdE1T

Hmm Reddit seems to think it will stop at 10 BTC based on a found Mt Gox script. Possible cold to hot wallet transfers so that Mt Gox will pay something back to it's customers?
