If it's too complicated to understand then not many people will want to invest in it. Monero and ring signatures has proven to be fairly reliable and easy to understand

There's no need to complicate things, Marlin Protocol is a jet-fuel used in speeding up things in different areas including Blockchain (Layer 1) and Off-chain (Layer 2)

Next time you play stream games, no need to experience the disconnection through lag and high ping (high latency) - Marlin will take care of that.

Okay, let us say that it is very promising. Is there a way to make an investment in this project? I see a great opportunity of making profit on it.

Sounds great, but there were a lot of such cases. I want to see this project in work to form certain stable opinion about it in the nearest future.

Where is the github or code or demo?

We should be releasing that at the end of December/early January

Remember, this was a project that has already participated and won in a competition at Stanford in April - the code has been massively expanded since then

Ultimately the motivation will exist in the need to scale and compete with other projects. The proof will be in the pudding

There is no information about the team. Are they skilled enough to create such project? Will they held ICO or they will attract money in some other way?

There is actually plenty of information about the team. Have you looked at the ANN?
