I see this number "123456789101112131415161718192021222324" hidden in many announcement threads in the forums, for example,

By hidden I mean that the color of the text is set to be the same as the background color of the page.
Is this connected with Illuminati somehow?! I though that it might be just a placeholder to keep the tables' width controlled, but in most cases it doesn't seem to offer this utility as the text overflows the above number.
Any ideas?!

Illuminati sounds good tho,but I think this maybe happened because of the error in the thread design which all of them above were created by same person.

Edit: when I watched that error this maybe created intentionally just to signal some kind of investors? whales and illuminatis. Shocked

all of them above were created by same person.
Only two of them were created by the same member.

Obviously, posters are using this method to keep text and images aligned by fixing the length of each cell by adding a determined "number" in each one.
I am sure there is better (and more profissional) ways to draw a table, but there is no harm in what they did.

Sometimes the one who design the ANN thread wants to leave a hidden "mark" so all of those who copy-paste his format get easily busted.

In a lot of cases the text field has more width than this number, so this is not always the case.
However in some cases I guess that a user might have copy/pasted a template and just left the numbers there for no reason.

if you try to run a search there are a lot more threads using it, i was thinking it had something to do with indexing in search engines somehow but i din't find anything

As I said those numbers are used to format the table, if you take a deep look you will notice that when the OP wants to divide the page to four cells width the same width he adds the same number (1....19) in the beginning of each [ td ], to divide to three cells he adds (1...24) and so on.

Sometimes the one who design the ANN thread wants to leave a hidden "mark" so all of those who copy-paste his format get easily busted.
There are easier ways to do that, by adding all those numbers OP risks to deform the post, he could simply add a hidden link to his profile page or the to the ANN thread.

(this is the most logical explanation I found)

I have to agree with khaled0111 that it has to do with image and text alignment. That number goes above '3940', pretty clever way to format things, props to whoever came up with this idea.

Edit1 Sorry for the lengthy example that I give

That's an interesting find OP, although I doubt it's some sort of a conspiracy behind it  Cheesy

Yes, I agree, you need a way to properly format the table cells and that guy chose some random numbers to do it. If you created some tables in posts, then you know it's a bit difficult to structure the info there to make it look nice.

I bet along the way someone copy pasted from the other and that's the way it got multiplied to other threads.

I was doing a translation and upon quoting and translating the text I found it really strange! Grin
Well, it seems it's just a placeholder with no meaning then! Or another good possibility is this,
Sometimes the one who design the ANN thread wants to leave a hidden "mark" so all of those who copy-paste his format get easily busted.

Quite a pretty damn good skills for a bounty manager for the image and text alignment. I ain't no time for learning that skills though.

Correct.

Code:
[center][table]
[tr]
[td][color=#ecedf3]12345678910111213141516171819202122232425262728293031323334[/color]
[size=26pt][color=#45818e][b]The way of knowing the
world, reinvented[/b][/color]

(...)

This is the way to determinate the design width - if you remove this line the table column width will set to the width of the 1st word in a column.

You can also use spaces, but then your post is more limited in length because each space beyond the first is converted to   internally and therefore counts as 6 characters.
