This is the reason why some others out there think of regulating ICO's in order to filter out scam projects or ICO's. It must be stop actually because this year 2018 has lot of scam projects, turning our efforts into nothing but a useless one, i hope someday, it could be answered and has methods to detect scam projects.

In order to understand if the company scam or not, you need to carefully study their roadmap. My advice, try to explore the past of the company, in the past, you can see where the company was and how it solved their problems. If the company was created yesterday, then it is dangerous.

As cryptocurrency is decentralized but with the ico raising I don't see any decentralized in that any more so who ever want to create an ico should register his company in any region or country he is from and the government has to make it know to the team after company registration that the funds raised will be freeze and will only be release when their is open and reasonable thing with their road map and it has to be open to investors too, which I should call regulation and that I think is the only way out cause the rate in which all these college boys are scamming will give the blockchain bad image and before they go to that lent , we as the community need to always do our part to stop them.

In my opinion, we need strong measures to exclude and condemn strongly. The scam is the worst and most dishonest thing in the crypto market. I think the campaign manager is also responsible for things. It is not enough to just subtract the truth.

We can not do anything because you know crypto is a decentralised place and unfortunately people can create their own scam projects and they can collect money..
That is sad. What we can do. We can teach newbies about these scam issues and with that way they will not send their hardearned money to scammers. I think that is the best way for that.

What can we do? people become free to create project false ico. they hold a bounty program and sales of ico. but after they get funding from investors they blur it. Some are caught before they hold a sale of ico, then we are all lucky. all we have to do now is to always be careful choosing the ico project. well you as an investor or bounty hunter. If you find a problem, we can report it.

All of us can see that amount of scam ICOs increase day by day. That's why in the current situation of bearish market it is better to stay away from participating in ICOs. So it is better just to trade on exchanges according principals of diversification.

that's why ICO have been baned from google over month ago. but now google allowed only for  US and Japan. Google use hard rule for that, ICO advetising must have certificate, providing all information in the form of licenses, permits, etc.

I THINK if thier is no main thread we should create one and its task is to talk about new projects and ICOs and evaluate it. We can all add to this by evaluating each new project.

It is always good to study thoroughly about the projects before we join either their bounty or ICO. Read the whitepaper and information on the website very well for coherence. Look out for typos because most of the scam projects are developed in a haste.
I believe the forum is setting up an anti-scam group which will check on projects which use fake pictures as team member and the like.

Government? Yes they can help here especially the SEC but it takes time scammers can get our money easily if we are not aware.

You're indeed true. Now, about 50% ICO are scams. The comparison is true that now there are so many scam projects. They have presented the projects in very great appearance, concept, and also community. However, whatever happen, we must be smart to analyze the ICO whether it is scam or not. I find it good to be true, because the adoption of the cryptocurrency has gone times fold as the year passes by. Many users are in to this ecosystem as of now. And its a good advantage, the bad part of it is that many users also right now are making possible scams attack and they aim it on the newbies. So be careful out there.

I was also a victim of a scam. scam is very difficult to eradicate because, fraudsters are getting smarter in action. but maybe you are right, the government should help to secure Crypto from scammers. but the problem is that not all governments legalize Crypto, so it is difficult to help optimally
