How do you get merit?

Getting merit is easy as long as you make the following criteria.
Your post must be related to the topic,
Low quality post will not earn you a merit, that's why always do constructive and helpful post everytime you reply on topics

I still have difficulty determining the criteria for quality posts, I found many quality posts but they did not get merit. there is concern in giving merit, if an error occurs then the account will receive red trust.
this cause of merit is very difficult to obtain.

Is not that much difficult for you to get merit getting merit is just like getting school certificates if you take it so seriouse and write something that makes sense people will share you merit simply.

Creating a thread is not a must, post is enough as long as the post is useful/constructive/good quality. Indeed the chance is bigger for those who create a new thread but bear mind that users need to create something very useful for the community, at least something new (no other similar topics).

Quality post can be subjective, it might be look so good for you but may not for other readers. What errors you are talking about? Sorry I do not understand it well.

As I observed when merits being implemented or applied quality post is useless at all, and shit post become quality post. Or in some other points there are other members here in the forums that are very malicious and prolonged members in this forum that you can not understand if its absorbs moderators here where think they have purchased merit  so there is merit, so for now, what's this! we have no freedom to whom we want to give, those members here who have a dirty mind who are thinking about it, maybe stupid ones who think such a person who has a given the merit, maybe they are envy because they are not worthy of merit.

If it's getting difficult, then you have to understand that your posts aren't constructive as much as they have to need. If you are posting has the constructiveness or which is helping people to get a deep understanding of the topic then it will definitely help you to get the merit.

Generally speaking, the merit system has rather positively influenced the forum as many bots accounts have been removed, and the spam level on the forum itself has been reduced, and the informational forum itself has been improved

to get merit you have to make a quality post and make people like your posts, maybe for a newbie like you, you can learn how to post correctly or search the forum for how to get merit on Bitcointalk. in my opinion the main point to get merit is a good quality post.

The reason why no merits where shared is spam discussion,many new threads in the altcoins and bitcoin discussion sections were just spams and the replies keep rolling again and again with same content so no one is really interested to read those replies and give merits so better join in the dicsussion which has some useful things to cryptos or forum.

You got the point even merit sources wont really tend to visit those mega threads due to spam.Usually you can visit out meta or reputation sections which is the common place for you to get
merit but it would depend on what you have contributed. Even into normal boards as long you do know on how to take your part to the community to be
contributor towards others merit can possibly obtained without your knowing.

From your posts that I just viewed it is very difficult for any one to give you merits and what you need to do is to improve on them.  Posting in a very good English and both sentence and English writing laws a used do make you point clear to people and their may give you merits.
Another ways that you can get merits is to make posts that are of a great help for people.  Trying to educate people here and in turn you will be rewarded with merits point.

Don't get me wrong but I don't see any chance for you to receive a merit if you continue like this. To receive a merit it's not too difficult at all, just make some constructive posts outside the Altcoin spam megathreads. If you don't try you won't receive a merit.

Nobody rewards one-liners and bounty submissions in Altcoin-topics on page 28.

Wrong .  based on my experience i always see one liner post or even a single word and image but gues what ? They still recieve a merit from random people and mostly from high ranked reputable members here on the forum .

And also altcoin section isnt about spam or spamming because there are still good threads that you can post on it , same as on other sections .  all you have to do is just read the topic of the title and the content inside it  . you will then easily identify the junk from a quality discussion .

I agree with you, it is very difficult to get merit even though we have already written useful articles and posted them. but, there are some people who will give you merit in a way that you have to really make a very useful article and also in the correct format. but overall the merit system is still very annoying to me, even though I have tried to make useful articles but so far I only have 1 merit.

I have been active in the forum for 7 months, after this rule was implemented I did not get merit. not easy even though I have tried my best. unless you report a number of fraudulent accounts or scam to moderators, maybe it's an easy way to get merit.

Getting merits is harder than before because you are required now to spread good and useful contents. You also should post in the sections you are an expert in.
