Gag Order? Trump's a Russian Agent

It seems everytime I assert that Trump's a russian agent, it's removed.

Even with a direct link from an news article saying the same shit, it's removed.

No deleted notice, nothing; just gone from the forums.

Seems like someone's trying to silence a certain message, which leads me to believe it's probably an outside entity from BTCTalk making the requests.

Who knows, maybe it's just moderators removing posts they don't agree with.

It would be considered a low quality topic and definitely not the right place to post in META.

This should be in off topic - otherwise it will likely be deleted or moved for you by the moderators.

Why would an entity outside of BTCTalk try to cover up a forum post when there is already some article that you are linking? And moderators don't moderate with their personal opinions in mind, they wouldn't stay a moderator for long if that was the case. Anyway, if there is no deleted message, I'm assuming that means your thread was moved to the Trashcan section, and the reason for that would likely be that you have posted it multiple times, its spam, or you are posting it in the wrong section. Spam is generally defined as low quality topics/comments that introduce little to no points of discussion. So while you might have points of discussion for your topic that you'd like to bring up, if you are not addressing them and just posting a link + an intro, it might be being deleted as spam. There is a TON of spam that is just *insert link* What do you guys think? So even if your topic isn't intended to be something like that, if it follows that kind of format, chances are its catching moderator's attention. Try posting in Off Topic or the Politics section with room for discussion, and it'll be left alone.

So far, the "Trump is a Russian asset" thread was removed from Ivory Tower (which it seems plenty of Jet Cash conspiracies live without issue), Serious Discussion (which seem to have plenty of other random conspiracies), and politics and society (which was removed this morning, surprisingly, also the section home to anti-vaxers and flat-earthers, that somehow aren't spam?).

If I remember correctly, Bitcointalk operates from the united states. The United States can't exert authority over foreign nations to "gag" their media or forums.

Overall, the only thing that makes sense is a gag order or biased administration, which I highly doubt the latter.

We'll see if this post is deleted (not trashcanned) without explanation.

Pretty much why a gag order is the only thing that makes sense. Sure, removing it from the ivory tower is justifiable, I guess. Sure, removing it from serious discussion, why not. But politics and society? Really?

I'm not sure any moderator has the ability to interact with all three boards. I think perhaps only global moderators. I'd be surprised by anyone acting on political bias as well, which pretty much leaves just forced actions by an external party.

There isn't a gag order, no one cares about what people say on a forum, and even if they did, it would take some amount of time between having the order issued, Theymos speaking with lawyers, and then responding/removing a post. Did you post the threads in the three separate boards at the same time, or did you post one after another when they were removed?

If putting effort into your posts in annoying then perhaps a forum isn't the best venue for you?  If you just want to throw around links head on over to twitter or facebook and interact with a bunch of other like minded individuals and pass around links till your have your fill of them.  There is no 140 character limit here for a reason!

BADecker often posts quotes from an article and that's pretty much it to 'bump' his posts. Pretty much, it's advertising. tbh, 'cnn' was targetted as 'fake news' so, it's pretty easy to think 'cnn = blogspam'. However, this deleted post example was only the one in off-topic.

I'm pretty sure I spent a good chunk of time typing out Trump being a Russian asset, timeline, links, sources to post in ivory tower.

However, for ivory tower, I did shitpost in other threads in response to trolls fucking with my threads, but it was new, so meh.

I'm betting that was wiped because *all* my posts were purged from that section rather than just one or two.

I'm pretty sure serious discussion had a bit more than a link, but I wasn't able to pull up that thread. Probably too much trolling and bickering to actually be "serious".

If a thread like that is reported I will evaluate it and remove, leave or move it if necessary case by case.  P&S isn't twitter...
