Aside from here, where else?
There were numerous forum available other than the bitcointalk.org for crypto currencies so in that also they may have announcement about the new projects and many ICO listing sites are available and ICO rating sites also can be useful to find the ICOs with good reviews.

You ask less specifically. what do you ask about altcoin, because in my opinion it's very broad, if this is how to respond

There are too many altcoins on the market these days it is impossible to keep track of all the good ones that get released every week. Certain twitter channels are useful, but generally they just shill their own investments. BCT is probably the best place

If you have promising altcoins,, then the best thing to do is pay attention to the rating, or to the rating coinmarket, where there is a rather promising altcoin in the top ten.

Usually I google for news and new information regarding altcoins or crypto. Coinbase and ccn are great sites and this forum is also great.

Actually we can find some new altcoins if we search in google as you said.
But they have some website also are we can see on which altcoins are coming for now.

new coins need a lot of consideration to be owned. look into their website officially will give an overview about the new coins. of course there will be information about all what is known in the official website of the coins and this will help give you a choice as to whether this new coin is indeed worthy to be owned or not.

I would also use the ico listing websites such as icobench and icodrops that feature upcoming ICO each month. I also subscribe to a couple of community management websites (Amazix) that inform of new projects and nnounty programs.

If we can be more observant, then we can learn the altcoin on the altcoin website, or read a lot in the marketplace and there will find a thread token and an announcement, before the coin launch it will have an announcement indicating the altcoin is working. Join in the telegram or in the altcoin community, surely you will get an announcement about the altcoin that appears.

Aside from here, where else?
The forum, I see the signature of major grades, and begin to explore the projects of these signatures. Also on the websites of the rating. ICO. Also in telegram groups. It seems to have not made a mistake.

Aside from here, where else?
of course there are still many other options for learning about new altcoins. besides this forum we can also learn directly to the altcoin web. there we can assess and analyze whether the altcoin is good and able to grow and compete with other altcoins

Bounty platforms are one of the best way to learn about the new altcoins because whenever new project is going to be launched they will advertise it in this forum or through social medias and bounty platforms like bouty portals, etc from where you can get the link to their ANN thread as well. But to e honest no new altcoins are worth to invest for now because of bad crypto year so investing now is not a good idea for me.

With research and through word of mouth...we must look for coins that are not ico or bounty but people are too stupid for this....I regret I did not get bought coins like litecoin, vertcoin or viacoin when they were very very low in 2015...there is a good dose of luck of course, but you must always do your own researches...for example watch Elicoin in livecoinwatch , is not an ICO or bounty... it's a coin with low mc, low supply, PoW whit cpu, no premine, active dev...only trading it on CREX24 for now...do you own researches in the thread in bitcointalk: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3028302.0... people are too stupid for DYOR and got scammed by ICO or bounty...just my 2 cents...hope it helps...cheers
