There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

yefi strikes again.

Bitcoin strikes back and blows up my my planet.

It remains unclear to me about who to blame?  Bcash pumpers did they bring up the price of BTC?    Surely BTC does not follow Bcash, but sometimes on the margins, there can be some symbiosis in market movements.

 At the moment, Unclear, unclear.

1) Self-Custody is a right.  There is no such thing as "non-custodial" or "un-hosted."  2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized.  3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

There's an ETF decision to be taken today by the SEC.

 Huh

It seems that the BTC market largely has the various ETF shenanigans of the SEC to be priced in, including recent news, to conclude that no ETF is going to be approved in the reasonably near-term future (such as within the next year).

On the other hand, if they surprise us with either an approval or something that looks like an approval could be imminent, then that would be likely to cause movement in the BTC market (largely because it is a surprise and contrary to what the BTC market seems to be pricing in).

The current bcash shenanigans of pumping or whatever forkening preparations they are doing would likely have a more immediate impact on BTC short term prices because it seems to bring a larger amount of short-term uncertainty - even though the  whole bcash fundamentals are likely more hype than fundamentals and likely a lot of folks are going to get screwed if they actually act on information that presumes the sum of the bcash forks are going to be more valuable than bcash at its current price (and perhaps even gonna be less than the prepump price of about $420-ish).  But who knows?  sometimes dumb money can play around much longer and more bullish than expected.. so frequently a stab in the dark and "unclear" as I previously suggested.

Hey, you know micpeep,  in post #146, I did pretty much already provide my BTC prediction for the high before 12/12 in my earlier post (the one with the percentages and price ranges for each).

Surely,  I am not really sure about how to plug those prediction numbers into a calculation that would derive one weighted number, but the information is already there.    That prediction was the best kind of specific that I was willing to provide, but I suppose that if I knew the proper formula for calculating weight, then perhaps I could give you an actual number (one number)?

I'm thinking that maybe such formula would be to take each range and then multiple that by the probability that I had assigned and then add all of the probabilities together and then average them out.. something like that, but I imagine that there is a more accurate way to plug those numbers into calculating one number, which seems to be weighted to be in the sub $10k arena, as far as I can ballpark it from looking at it.

mmmm

so +- 10077 or something, this could be just a price to put on the list when it was running with some up and down range.....its never 1 price but close to a possible thought <hat it could be .....

its the same like the poll in the WALL OBSERVER each 14 days just a thought where the price could be @  (NOT 1 price)

also little bit of tactics, to take a price with a nice up and down range to cover as much empty prices as possible  Roll Eyes  Tongue

As before, the first wave barely managed to break through $6450.

But it might be followed by the second (stronger) wave... will it break through $6500?

Of course, in the end, there is only going to be one high price that ends up taking place between October 29 and December 12; however, in the future, there is a range of prices.

Furthermore, we know too, that the odds change as time passes  That's why it would be ridiculous to allow any late comers to place their BTC price predictions (as you have already shut those folks down several times in some of your other games)

That is one of the tough things about the short-term future, that game venturers are willing to undertake, much harder to predict such future as compared with the past.  Wink

By the way, except for the purpose of merely playing a random game, I don't personally believe that it does a lot of help to actually randomly pick (or even educationally guess) a number for the future, unless a guy (or gal) were to extrapolate such number from a range of probabilities, but the range of probabilities says more about the future than extrapolating such ranges down to one number... so even such extrapolation would just provide an opinion about the number that is believed by the predictor to be the most probable of numbers - even though still kind of random.
