End of emission isn't the end of a currency... We don't mine dollars (government does, but it doesn't count), but dollars don't die, the only problem with them is inflation.
Bitcoin is a payment tool first of all, not a way to earn money through mining.

Instead of obsessing over the impossible, we can start exploring related opportunities in this field, a field that is going to be an integral part of our future. As for Bitcoin, there will be many equivalent coins, if not better ones, for there ever to be a question mark.

Whatever has a beginning will surely have an end. Although, bitcoin might end, but it is not likely going to end now. Another thing I know is that, even if it will end, there are hundreds of coins that have the potential to replace it. Had it been bitcoin is not the grand coin, some coins would have overtaken it long before now. In some years time, some of this coins will start showing obvious potentials. |

I think that this is the highest bottom since the market falls for too long. I'm sure that for some time the price will be delayed on these marks and later will begin to grow. Hope we can see it in December! |

I think that mining Bitcoin will be beneficial in 3 years. The main thing is that the cryptocurrency would be supported by the community.
I think Ethereum will be modernized and become a more promising coin. Vitaly Buterin spoke about it

It will end but not in the soonest time. Maybe we're not living anymore on this earth before it's gone. Maybe another coin will emerge or probably ETHEREUM will take its place or from the Top 10 of CMC. As time passes by, more and more discoveries and developments appears to challenged and be a game changer on the Cryptocurrency World. From the private individuals, banking services, financial institutions and tech companies are now getting involved. There's always a surprise, let's just hope it's for the better and beneficial for the future. |

maybe u can try invest some altcoin I don't know any altcoin which doesn't have a limited amount of tokens to be mined or just a certain total supply. The problem is that the OP thinks that end of mining = end of coin. But I'm sure that when all of them are mined, the price should just skyrocket. |

Do research before opening topic to discuss about something which you have no idea. Bitcoin won't end, what do you think to whom you are paying fee? Your fee doesn't disappear, it goes directly into miner's pocket. So when they mine last bitcoin, they will receive fees as reward. Don't worry about it, no one from this forum will alive when that happens. It is very far future. |

If you look at the current crypto world, apart from bitcoin there are numerous other projects running. Everyday some new projects are coming; projects which are dynamic and versatile. Although it's a long journey before bitcoin mining is finished, I think crypto market won't disappoint.

Rest assures that in our lifetime we will not be able to reach bitcoin mining cap. But when that happens there are many other altcoins like ethereum, ripple, waves, dash etc which will be the next king. And many other great coins are still to come.

With the everchanging technologies and innovations, when the time comes for Bitcoin there might be some other coins to replace it. There is a possibility for Bitcoin to stay relevant in the market even when there in no Bitcoin to dig though.

Still a long time to go before the last mining will be done. There are a lot of altcoins now in the market with some great features. In the mean time they will make some good progress and continue to carry the market.

No Bitcoin is not going to end then, though that’s what a lot of people are going to say, but it’s not true. At that time Bitcoin will still continue to fluctuate and have even more value since the number of demands will be increasing while there is no supply available and that will make the value to get even more high. That’s the reason a lot of people are holding their coins and are even ready to hold it till then because they know that is when the coin will have even more value than it has now. |

Good point, if you fully understand how things work inside this industry then you won't say things like that, the future ahead is very interesting after all the coin was already been mine, we will see the real value when adoptions happen and the real purpose will be serve as a payment tools, when people realize that there's a good alternatives aside from the current fiat and the banking platform, you will never know what will be the real value of this digital currency and what it can bring to us. |

Bitcoin is not ending (if it will ever end) anytime soon. There are still millions of bitcoin to mine and this could take over many years to achieve! This is the sole reason why holding bitcoin long term is good!
