2018 the year of correction?

If this is the year of correction for Cypto, how long will it take? The fall of prices is a good time to buy and save for a long time. Hopefully 2019 prices can be more promising.

It is my opinion that the next year is not going to be that much better, and while some people could get disappointed if that were to happen to me that is a golden opportunity, many people wasted the opportunity to get bitcoin for less than 1000, now you have the opportunity to buy bitcoin for less than 7000 and that opportunity is not going to be here forever so take advantage of it.

So, you're saying that cryptocurrency will rise but most likely.not next year. And you're encouraging investors to buy their coins now while they are at low prices. What if, the cryptocurrency is stabilizing at these low prices, is it still advisable to buy bitcoin? Considering it is already very high.

The all time high last year was a bubble created by manipulators. Until now these manipulators are still on the move to create bear markets so that they can still lower the prices.

If you feel the price can still go any lower then you can wait, but to me this is a price that is good enough to begin to invest again in bitcoin, the price that we are seen at the moment is going to be here with us for some time but as I said it is not going to last forever, at some point people are going to begin to recognize that its value is too low and a slow correction will begin to happen and when you add factors like the halving and the lightning network then that means the price will go up even more.

Many of you got it wrong. We already got a "correction year" before. As you see nothing is fixed and the volatility can start again. Let's give up with 2018 and why not a ATH in 2019. In less than 2 years the next halving will be there so we can hope for something before... Fingers crossed.

I believe that this year has all the cryptos on their knees as we see how the bearish market is dominating the cryptoworld most of the time this year. If that equates to correction, then i expect something good is going to happen next year.

With price of around 6000 to 6500 USD is conservatively the correction state of the bitcoin. The average cost to mine bitcoin world wide is within that said value so it is expected at least 20% profit to sustain the network except for other countries like Trinidad and Tobago, Bangladesh , Kuwait, Belarus or Venezuela where mining is highly profitable but more restricted. Reaching 20k USD was just a hype and a manipulation but today's price is the real price and this is not a bad price for what other people think and this time is the right time to re-invest bitcoin and wait for another years until the bitcoin halving event come and this is where the expected bull run will occur soon.

We still lucky because bitcoin prise not too low but it is quite stable now. Time will come,maybe next year bitcoins value will be more higher than last 2017. Let's just wait and see. Only time will tell if what will be happen to bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.

   We can say that 2018 is the year of Correction? My one cent of opinion, if we look back on the history since the 10 years ago, we can see the few Dollar price value to a Thousand to almost 20K in the late of 2017 then drop and stabilized at 6K plus as of this writing, one should always remember of the Volatility of the market, the volume of investment made by the investors, the market structure, the fundamentals and the consumer's behavior or the confidence to Crypto market. All of these happen in every Stock or Crypto market or it is normal to have this in the market. i would say therefor, that it is more on the Volatility that affects the market.

actually the price decline in bitcoin is needed for traders, because to do trading is to buy when prices go down and sell when prices rise. so that we should not be too disappointed by the decline in the price of coins in 2018, but we should be able to take advantage of this situation as well as possible, so that by 2019 we will benefit and compensate for the losses we got in 2018.

Actually the miners provide a good support level below the 6k USD/BTC mark so it wont drop below that unless some huge whales decides to dump their coins on the open market and make it crash. They are not fools, they would rather sell at profit and not loss. Again this year showed some green in the 1st quarter but then it gradually dumped down to a sleepy mode and has not been rising again after that.

Thats all you can do right? Nobody has anything else to do other than hold. We must not forget the bad days for bitcoin are not new. These did happen previously as well for some years if you look at the price charts on coinmarketcap..

if december price still didnt suitable with our expectation we still long time to see it reached highest price again.bitcoin halving, bakkt trading and other news could be trigger for crypto price movement.

I agree with you. Our current market is adjusting to a reasonable level, the values of altcoins are now real and I still feel good for the value of them now. no pumping and dumping. From now on the market will develop based on our investment.

Yes, i am also of the point of view that bitcoin should move naturally and not by the means of pump and dump. But then it is already 8 to 9 months we are seeing lower bitcoin market and this is getting frustrating for the users. I think it is time that bitcoin should start the bull period.

I've got many big independent miner friends (150 Petahashes +-) and they are all selling only what they need to cover costs, and keeping the rest.
Like all of us, they are hoping in a BTC price increase to grow their businesses.
BTC at this levels, for the ones who entered the market starting mid last year, this is only a break even price.

One of them likes to say... I've got Electric Costs at 0.04, but it's not really a difference if we take it to 0.03 or 0.02, don't get me wrong, it's great, but the real difference is in the BTC price.
If BTC is 20k, i'm producing it for only 6k.

Real value is different description to the price of bitcoin. This year has been the year of correction and its hard to tell to what extent will the market go through.

CZ has been bullish to the market, he runs a crypto business and he can't tell something bad to discourage his customers. As for him, his words are going to be positive all of the time regardless of the market condition.

Hmmm, that is very possible. Remember price reached a target of $1,000 in late 2013. In another words we are still in the correction of 6400$ for more then half of the year in 2018. 2019 might bring surprises, bitcoin is under the rules of seasons and patterns like any other market, so I won’t be astonished to see super high crypto prices in the middle of 2019.
