Yes, at the end of 2017 there was a huge HYIP on cryptocurrencies and prices soared very high, so it is not surprising that this year there was a recession. It was something like that, but I could not call 2018 the year of correction. The correction simply cannot last for many months. It was a period of stagnation as perssimist say, and the optimists will call it the stabilization.

but the equation is that the trend line is still on an uptrend. there are many obstacles that must be faced, so that almost a full year price has decreased, and indeed price has been consolidated lately, hopefully this is a good start

I think that we have had a very bad market due so many reasons and the market recovery is taking time just because of these reasons so yes this is probably a year of correction as well.

For those that invested into cryptocurrency market during the all time high price this current market is a bad market but I dont see it as a bad market because every experience cryptonier knew that market correction is to be expected the following year of the year which we had an all time high price in the market.
Meanwhile, advice those that during the all time high to buy in other for them to make up for their loses in full.

It is difficult to say for sure to which pointthe price will fall, but I guess that yesterday [15/11/18] we reached this level. I think this will be the last bottom this year. I also assume that in December, a bull run will begin and the correction will finally end.
Some projects moved their important events to the 4th quarter of 2018 (Stellar, Nem, Ripple), I think that they also count on the end of correction in the near future.

Yes, the bubble in 2017 had to be corrected and balanced out for Bitcoiners to make some profits in 2019. Even the stock markets has to go through some correction phase, now and again. I think we have reached the bottom end of the correction phase and we are going to get into a Bull market soon.

I hope Bakkt will be the trigger for the Bull market and it will push us back to a even higher ATH in 2019. 

If thatse the case, I would love to work harder these days so I can expect for a higher amount of profit to gain since we can say that Bitcoin this year may not be fruitful as what it was last year but the fact that it undergoes some correction year was a great Idea for me, like a cliché part says "prevention is better than cure" which may be applicable to us so we can expect much better things in near future which I believe is going to happen.

Many people say it was a correction in what happen last year but as we can see many people are still adopting bitcoin and look in the market cap it has huge amount compare last year so maybe there was a big impact that will happen this year or maybe early next year let us wait dor the right timing.

I have the same opinion with you. This is really a bubble. And you know, a bubble flies easily, it also easily breaks. So I sold all my tokens in late 2017 and I still keep USDT till now. I think this is a good time to buy a lot of altcoins. The price of ETH is too cheap compared to its real value.

usdt give us more secure in our asset value.but this coins didnt give us profit, no interesting volatility to trader.it could dumped alot.personally no difference with fiat.

i do think that it will go up, but timeframe for upside is questionable

I was sure that ~ until recenly we are in stable period and we wont go drastcially up or down but i was wrong.
Altough i beleive that the last drop was manipulation or induced by manipulation, the short term future does not look bright.
In fact the wider picture shows that we are back to long term bear trend.

I think the long bear market is healthy, everyday many people are leaving Crypto, those who search for quick short term profits, as well as people who think 2017 bull run will be repeated. We might see a movement in December, but it will not be huge.

we need to evaluate price movement every day.if we just hold them without doing anything , maybe our profit could not be maximize.especially in bearish trend .

We are almost reach end of year and the price still low until today and i do agree that 2018 is year of correction and most of investors has been lost because since last year the value of bitcoin lost more than 50% and i think most of us still cannot recover our lost especially the current price seems makes people doubt whether it will reach again to all time high or not

yes, I agree with you now is the time for bitcoin to stabilize prices after skyrocketing at the end of 2017. Maybe this is the way the market stays healthy. because coins will not always go down or rise. there must be when going up and then going down. and what we need to do now is remain optimistic that bitcoin and the crypto market will soon be green. don't panic and despair. cryptocurrency is our future.

- 2018 is not the year of correction, more precisely, it was a year of purge and bloodshed and massacre because as you say, investors are almost lost, and the loss to date is probably a figure that if people cut losses, they would almost become bankrupt. People are really living in a state of fear and doubt about the future of bitcoin, the future of the market, although the glimmer of hope for recovery and return still exists but over time, that light is engulfed by darkness, negative atmosphere is covering, crying and moaning is beginning to appear
