Depends what causes the stress? Are there many tasks unfinished? Try to reward yourself for everything that you do. Also, try to take mind of things if it's something else that causes you stress - take time for yourself, force yourself to go to the gym and meet up with friends.

It depends on the stress source
If I'm shaken at work - a minute of silence and breathing, light coffee and a bit of focus on "I'll be home soon" mantra
If its a family stuff - I go tease my cat, usually there is nothing else I need =)

I always try to keep calm, watch movies and eat something like ice cream or cookies. I also spend time with my friends, we laugh and talk and have fun, it helps me to reduce stress.

Eat more fish to reduce stress.
Fish helps to reduce stress? Really? Are you sure it works? In case it works, I'd be extremely grateful for your advice.

Help  Embarrassed
Stress has become a normal thing to our generation and about 80 to 85% people are going Through some faces of stress or another.  I think we should learn from our great grand parents that were able to live many years without stressed.  The generation we are living in is a stressful generations and If you keep visiting social media and news sites you will become stressful because of what you hear and see.
Instead of doing those things that make you stressful why not began to meditate and pray. You can listen to this master and learn from his wealth of wisdom about life and stress.

Usually play some games to take my mind off whatever it was that was stressing me out. Though I've heard mindfullness therapy is a good strategy for analyzing why you're stressed or reacting to a situation. Can help to see your mind as an outside observer.

I go out and eat. Usually, I drive out without destination. I just go on as long as I feel like going while listening to good music. Then stop at the nearest food stop where I can eat then go back home.

The last time I got stress and cried out was just this year and my way for me to calm down because I am pregnant because they say that pregnant should not be stress because it will also affect the baby inside me. So, I go to church for me to calm down and pray everything I want tk tell Him. I also light a candle and pray all my problem and worries inside my head. It really helps me a lot.

Yes. Prayer helps a lot.  Sometimes, you really just need to be quiet and reflect what's causing all the stress.  Surrender to God what's causing it.  Ask the wisdom on how to deal with it.

There is a simple way to reduce nervous tension: move, do sports, do evening jogging while listening to good music.

When we are nervous, stress hormones are released into the blood – this is largely realized through trembling, increased heartbeat and other external manifestations of stress. Physical activity allows you to get rid of excess stress hormones in the blood.

«What exercises should be used to kill stress hormones in the blood?»

Any! But if you're a guy like me, here are my exercises:

1. If possible, do some arm and leg swings with large amplitude, do 5-10 squats.  Walking also helps to cope with stress -walk for at least half an hour.
2. Sometimes  it is enough to breathe properly to relieve nervous tension. Take a deep breath, filling the entire volume of the lungs with air, and then exhale slowly. It`s enough to breathe this way for 5-10 minutes to calm down.

Lots of you think it's possible to relieve stress with alcohol. Do you really think so?

I read that alcohol does not help relieve nervous tension. Scientists from the United States conducted an experiment. A group of adult men were driven into stress by making them speak in front of a large ungrateful audience.
After that, half of the participants received intravenous alcohol-containing solution. The rest of the volunteers were given a placebo.
The researchers tracked heart rate, stress hormones and blood pressure the participants of the experiment, while those were answering questions about their level of anxiety and the desire to drink again.

It turned out that alcohol reduces the release of the stress hormone cortisol, but at the same time retains and prolongs the subjective feeling of tension.

It turns out a vicious circle: a person experiences less positive emotions and wants to drink more and more.

Conclusion: exercise and do not drink alcohol when you are stressed.

And if things are really that bad, better see a doctor

Usually, when I'm stressed, I retire to a place where I can be alone, and I meditate on the situation or situations that may be generating that stress, in order to analyze them and be able to cope with and release the accumulated stress in the best possible way.
