I think it’s also because market is lowish and any chance to win and increase people’s holdings of crypto is a great longterm possibility for growth of funds

yeah, right now, winning some free coin is a great way to get more coins, orbit have a great idea they should ensure they actualize it most especially right now that the market is bullish

Only 7 days to go. Who of you has already registered?
I'll be there and I'll take a look. At the moment, the crypto market is so boring, it makes such a fun project even joy
Yeah actually market seems really dull at this moment and trading is really ruining life with continues to make profit hard and harder!
At this stage trying to taste luck with Gambling seems promising!

Yeah, it's been a tough year. I don't feel particularly bullish at the moment about the markets. However, it is still nice to see new projects being developed even during this bear phase. It's a testament to blockchain technology because there are obviously people out there that aren't bothered about the price and they just want to use the tech which is good news for adoption.

Looks like everyone lost confidence in Cryptomarket now. No one is talking about bull market, ETH going to 1000 or so.

Well, a bull market won't happen just overnight. I hope we will see better times next year but it takes time to see some steady growth and new money coming into the market.

Absolutely, just because ETH reached $1,000 before does not mean it will hit that level again. I might not be feeling bullish right now but that doesn't mean I have completely written off cryptocurrencies. I just think it will take a bit longer than originally thought to grow back to all-time highs.

I really think in the next 12-18 months we will see global stock markets crash and we could see another recession. Look at markets now the FTSE is down over 10%, the S&P 500 also fell 10%. In 2008 (the last recession) markets fell 35% in The US, this caused massive banks and businesses to close. I think we are at the start of something bad for stock markets.

But this could be good news for crypto, in bear markets investors love an alternative investment. Crypto at the moment is the alt investment with the biggest potential, so I wonder if we could see a lot of money bleed from stock markets and then enter the crypto markets. It's going to be interesting to see what happens over the next couple of years.

Its quite an unpredictable situation at the moment but the fact is, things are going in the right direction, especially with the globe coming to terms with the blockchain industry as of before, more and more people are coming in and more brand are seeking means to utilize the technology that comes with it, so i see things turning around pretty fast

Oh of course, it is so hard to make accurate predictions in this market. Cryptocurrency is the most volatile investment I have ever encountered. One day a cryptocurrency will be down 20% and no one will know the reason why. The next day it could be back up 30%! It does rely a lot on reaction to the news, for example, do you remember when Korean markets were removed from Coinmarketcap and it reduced the average value of cryptos on their platform. It then lead to people dumping their tokens because they thought their actual value had fallen that much, little did they know it was actually fake news! It's a crazy market!

It's because of speculation, it's like any other betting, the overall crypto market is still very small in comparison to say USD or EUR, so of course its volatile, it's to be expected, but since we're talking about gambling it's like having gambling with a side of extra gambling Smiley

Well said phantam. Almost nothing or no one is sure of anything in the crypto cycle no more. Just lots of speculations flying around here and there and everyone really hoping that it all comes to the price they wish.

Gambling comes with legal issues. And that’s going to scare some gamblers away. Although it’s anonymous but it’s wise to know the details.  What countries are restricted from participating in both the ICO and using the platform?
What’s the legal age to participate?

Gambling is as old as man. Really, many people have lost a fortune and still more have made a fortune from gambling. It keeps revolving.  Now we got Blockchain coming into the lucky win game. There’s an opportunity for gambling on Blockchain, everyone in crypto is a risk taker. And wouldn’t mind placing a bet when the odds are good. I think Orbit would do well.

"everyone in crypto is a risk taker"
This is very true, A lot of risks involved right now in the crypto and it feels like gamble everytime you want to invest no matter how trustworthy the project is or how reliable the team posed to be

A great thing with Orbit (and gambling on the blockchain in general) is that you take away the middleman. No need for shady betting offices anymore when 2 people can bet directly against each other with the help of an immutable smart contract.

I have noticed that most of this blockchain projects aim to take away shady middle men that is usually with the traditional processes. Why is that?

Cos that's where the world is heading to....
I discuss about this with a good friend of mine and we conclude that a lot of middlemen will be eliminated successfully if global mass adoption is fully achieved, so lets expect a lot of resistance from time to come

After reading the article posted by the team I have a better understanding of the project than before, its good to understand that users can create and set rules in a  ring.

Yeah. Explains a lot. 10Eth was just an illustration. There’s an unlimited betting opportunity on orbit rings. The more you bet the higher your chance of winning. But it’s capped at 75% of the ring.

I wonder if there are more gamblers in the world of cryptocurrencies. Because Orbit addresses exactly this clientele. Play more, win more. How to catch mice :-)

You are right, now it is a bit more clear how the betting scheme will work. I'm looking forward to the launch of the first ring.

I'm pretty sure there is demand for gambling on the blockchain. People love to gamble so I don't think crypto enthusiasts are an exception here. The only thing that bothers me a bit is that underaged people could become 'addicted' to gamble.

I think is a known fact that people are prone or attracted to the word gambling, that feeling you get when it seems like you will win with every click even when you are loosing, i will love to see how such is done in the blockchain industry because at the moment, there's no notable blockchain brand that is actually taking proper advantage of the gambling industry

As long as we can start having continuous days of slow growth it's a great trend forward, and people will be looking to shore up their reserves of crypto as hodlers continue to increase their holdings, you just know their will be people who are anxious to use a project like this to gamble the chance at bigger amounts
