If a global economic crash hits and bitcoin is the main payment mode at that time, of course, just like the fiat currencies which are currently the main mode of payment, it'll be affected. Its value will also condole with the economic crash because this depends on the demand and supply of conducting commerce.
But when individual countries were facing economically crisis, people are moving into bitcoin as bitcoin is completely independent of that country and bitcoin acted as safe asset for store of value. But, I'm not sure what will be happening when more countries will be facing recession. I believe even bitcoin prices will be impacted negatively, when more people will be switching over into bitcoin due to global economic crash, it will find positive progress in long term.

If the commerce experiences recession and people are having hard days to buy and sell, this will surely impact the main medium of exchange (bitcoin per se at that time), which is the measure of value of the economy.
Yes, when people will be needing their money for their daily needs then how we can expect them to buy bitcoins. Money in-flow into bitcoin will get heavily impacted if global economic face a crash.

Economic crash has nothing to do with bitcoin. In order this situation will be able to touch the decentralized power of bitcoin there should be first union relationship between this two. But since bitcoin is independent the possibility has no chance at all.

If economic crisis happen, there is 2 option for cryptomarket, bull or bear following stocks market. If big investor searching alternative investment, maybe crypto market will bull and crypto price will increasing. Hopely crisis not happen because its creating uncertain situation

It is a bit hard to figure out what will really happen to Bitcoin price.

We could find an answer if someone could stitch these together.

  • Gold price when crisis happen
  • China's economy is already in a bear market for a long time, will they see a bull?
  • World economy just hit an all-time high
  • Crypto has not seen a 10yr cycle yet
  • Satoshi started Bitcoin to avoid melt-downs

What do you guys think will happen and why?

Bitcoin price will totally crash down if there is a global economic crisis because as of now the flow of transaction   of  bitcoin is based on the value of US Dollar so all of the transaction of bitcoin to Fiat money is depending the value of Dollar.

Even though bitcoin was created to avoid especially those kind of events that may take place in the future, I think bitcoin will also be affected by a global economic crash. It's pretty logical since most of the investors are not keeping all their investments in one the place. If gold price crashes probably many other investments will go down by dozens of percentages. People are going to be scared of a bitcoin crash and sell their bitcoin wich will eventually lead to a crash. Of course there always are people who truly belive in something and they will think bitcoin will remain strong and not crash. From my perspective I think bitcoin will also crash and probably after that it will start growing and slowly surpass other investments.

Bitcoin will crash as global economic crash. Even though we know Bitcoin is not influenced by economic stability, it has own system that different from any economic system of certain country. However, while the world economic is crack down, it will have much influence bitcoin and other digital currency or assets.

There’s a possibilities for this since the market is still affected by the status of one economy. But hopefully, when the global economy crash again, investors will go to cryptomarket to continue making money and it will make this market ahead compare to other market. Let’s not depend on any market let’s all be safe and invest the money we can afford to lose, also always take profit to save some money.

the global crisis will hit many countries today because of trade wars and many more international problems that force all countries to have large foreign reserves and gold. crypto especially bitcoin is immune from inflation and also the economic problems caused by many countries, therefore adopting crypto will help the economy and overcome the global crisis

Probably, people will start using Bitcoin more often. Hope, that we will not see the economic crash very soon, but if it happens, BTC price will grow sufficiently. Dollar and Euro will fall.

but if it is without government approval to transact, I think bitcoin will also be sluggish. for example divenezuela, where the government is turning to crypto, their economy will improve as the btc grows

i think bitcoin will also crash because if there is a global economic crash , people doesnt have enough money to buy cryptos . they will rather prioritize their own needs as it is more important than cryptocurrencies .

As far as i know , global economic crash is verry rare to occur because majorities of the countries are wealthy enough to sustain their needs  .  economic crashes do only happen on poorer side of the countries and mostly asian countries are affected to this issue though it didnt take much time for them to recover  .

if the world economic condition collapses and more people experience poverty then there will certainly be many people who will sell their assets at cheap prices because of panic, but for bitcoin it will definitely rise again because the bitcoin price movement is so fast that it will not be forever collapsing and cheap will surely recover and require a very long time.

I don't think the effect is too big, because bitcoin is not tied to the bank. and vice versa, the fall of the bitcoin market will also not affect the global economy, unless bitcoin is officially made a legal commodity to be traded.

Bitcoin doesn't depend on the global economy, only indirectly. If this happens, then, most likely, Bitcoin will also drop in price, but not much. Maybe, on the contrary, its price will rise, no one can predict this, because there has never been a similar case in history.

As the world economy used to live without bitcoin and bitcoin today lives absolutely quietly without the economy.
Bitcoin is a digital asset not tied to any real values and this is its most important advantage.
Stock prices change in different directions and the price of bitcoin goes in a completely different direction. This can be clearly seen on the charts. And whatever happens to the world economy, the price of bitcoin will live its own life.

Bitcoin is obviously not tied to the banking system. The fall is because of a selling pressure in layman terms what may have pushed that to happen is another endless debate of several reasons being cited. Now this is unregulated so we cannot have confirmed news of what may have caused it. However during the time of the crash there were crashed in stock and commodity markets as well.

This reciprocation between the traditional market and the cryptocurrency market does not seem to be related. I think we are still new to how far they can be related. Maybe in future bigger crashes in stocks might show uptrend in crypto. Only time will verify the same.

cryptocurrency market could be the place for switching their asset, while stock market and globla economic crashing this kind of investment could be the choice for them to keep value of their asset.moreover cryptocurrency has technology benefits not only as portofolio.

We cannot start pointing out any correlation at the moment, since thus far there has been no past scenario to look at to be able to know how things would end up working out. A lot of people may have their different thoughts based on different reasons, but for me, what brought about the deflationary nature of bitcoin and what urged the creation of bitcoin and its features was basically linked to the previous crisis. One thing for sure, most people who are investors and smart, would not want to be in fiat, and in such periods, assets tend to increase, hopefully, we will get bitcoin serve its purpose as a digital asset.
