No, it isn't true. Bitcoin is created by Satoshi for free used or recognized by any classes of people. There is no limitation of Bitcoin usage. Wish, learn, and patient are the crucial and influential factors to be successful fro making profit from Bitcoin, whether trading or mining. Not every one probably has capability to do it, therefore they should study dealing with it.

Lower and upper class are free to make profit from bitcoin, but investor or trader with massive assets or capital definitely will get return much more profit.  However, it doesn't mean that lower can't make a massive profit. As long as they want to do much effort, I believe they can make it.
