Thanks for all your constructive input boys! Indeed this isn't finalized yet but there are talks that they will have a two-way match - 1 in a boxing ring and other MMA. Nothing is certain though. From the comments I could make out Khabib is winning both of them.

We don't know about that. Khabib is great but he has the disadvantage at the boxing ring especially it is Floyd Mayweather he's fighting. Dana is against it but I think Khabib really wants it.

I will go for Khabib if Dana White accepts the fight of the two. I think if that happens, Dana is confident with Khabib fighting but based on the link, I don't think Dana will approve of this. We know Floyd and he will not be fighting Khabib at the octagon so I don't think a two-way fight will happen. There will only be one fight and if it is finalized, it will be a boxing match.

This is not a good fight for both fighters. Surely they will get the money they want but will leave a bad taste to boxing and MMA. As i see it, Khabib will surely lost to Floyd in boxing while Floyd will be eaten alive by Khabib in the octagon. I hope that Dana will interfere with this one, he knows that Floyd is only after the money in fighting with MMA fighters and will be destroying only their reputation.

We all know how smart and wise Floyd is. He won't going to do the fight if it's in octagon where it's a disadvantage to him. Imo if the fight will happen in boxing ring, Floyd will win but if it's in octagon, it will be Khabib's victory. In the end it's all about money and clean record for Floyd.

That doesn't matter really. As long as his match with Gregor was concerned, it could have been a fixed match and Gregor lost for winning a huge sum of money! Things wouldn't be the same with Khabib because he isn't as money hungry as Gregor is.

If he didn't get any money at all and just hoped that Conor fighting Mayweather would get more attention to UFC than it doesn't worth it at all. UFC is already quite known thing and there are really EA sports games based on it (and boxing is not quite popular anymore in gaming) and you are still trying to get exposure for your organization by letting your fighters do whatever you want? I don't think so.

If Khabib goes and fights with Mayweather in a boxing match than I seriously believe Dana should give him a punishment like get the UFC some percentage of the winnings or something. If you sign a contract with some place and than just go do other work there should be consequences.

He obviously made money from the Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather fight, tons of it actually. Conor McGregor is under UFC's contract, so it was a clash of two worlds. Dana White was always there during all negotiation times. The deal was probably split but I don't know the exact %.

In fact Dana White just said that the meet with Floyd Mayweather yesterday. Dana is now saying that Khabib will not fight Floyd in a boxing match, that he is very welcomed on the octagon but he will not let Khabib go to the boxing match. Dana doesn't want to see another big name getting beaten up by a 40 year old boxer so he wants to lure Floyd into the octagon for a massive payday. I hope Floyd is smart enough to know that he has no business there. His job is to bring Khabib into the ring. However if Dana doesn't let Khabib do it, and if Dana has a billion dollar deal for Mayweather at the UFC, then Mayweather may actually go into the octagon because the guy just loves money and a billion dollar deal is a billion dollar deal.

If ever the fight happens, Im sure it will be boxing and not UFC. I'm sure MayWeather and his team are smart enough to know that they will be destroyed if they try out UFC right now. Look at MayWeather's age, Im sure he's not up to any fights that arent in his comfort zone. If Kabib does agree to box MayWeather, I am pretty sure MayWeather got this in his bag. I know Khabib can take punches and a lot of them but MMcompA and Boxing are completely different sports. Its like asking a Painter(who paints walls) to compete against a Painter-Artist at a portrait making competition. Yeah, they both paint but the odds that the wall painter will beats the Artist is slim. Looking forward to it though. Ok. But I think Dana knows all along that Conor can't win that fight and he just goes along with the plan for the sake of making money. I'm sure that as promoter of Conor the company receives some shares of the revenue. But since Floyd is the A-side, the lion share goes to him. But we all know that Floyd won't really take that bait because he is not only smart but wanted to retire with no losses.

The update I saw was on Khabib's official page about this event on May 2019. Just thought of you guys know to plan your bets in advance.

You cannot link the news as it is not true and i am a fight fan and i really do not want to see either of them fight, Mayweather coming to MMA to face Khabib and vice versa in a boxing ring would be the worst match up anyone can put as both will school each other in their respective sport and there is nothing intriguing to watch if you know the results already.  If there is a betting line that this match is not happening I will bet happily .

Looks like you have no idea what you are talking about, the majority of the profit from the Mayweather Connor fight goes to the UFC as they were the co promoters of the fight and with the dismal UFC PPV buys that year because of the lack of any intersting fights is covered by this single fight.

I doubt that Mayweather will ever go up to the octagon,as we know the boxing technique he has and this is to prevent opponents to get closer,while the MMA ruling is different from WBA thats why for sure the Boxer wont take the risk being kicked or grappled action that for sure will cut his breath lol

I don't think Floyd Mayweather will take the challenge to fight under MMA rules. Floyd MayWeather is a defensive fighter and his fighting style not the kind of style that MMA fans like. We have seen fighters like Junior Dos Santos got booed because he only want's to fight standing up, he doesnt want to wrestle and what happened to him may happen to Floyd Mayweather if he accepts the challenge.

It's not about his capacity to replace the invested money of his investors but its more on his name will be tarnished by promoting a failed ICO or worst scam ICO. Furthermore, Floyd Mayweather may have the money now after his fight with UFCs Conor Macgregor, but that doesn't mean he is willing to return all the money invested in the coin he is promoting.

I don't think it would be done since khabib has his contract in UFC and of course Mayweather would not fight him in the octagon. The fight between the two fighters will only be done if khabib will have his contract in the UFC or Mayweather will do the fight in a UFC way. If this will continue to pursue, then it would be a mcgregor/Mayweather 2 which is a Taylor made for Mayweather.
