i am very excited to see how this fork of ethereum is going to be like and what new issues it is going to introduce while trying to solve the major issues it already has. but at the same time i have no faith in their developing anymore after years of promising a switch to PoS but only acting on it as the last resort for a pump when the dumping happened!

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.

Vitalik already announced new new Ethereum 2.0 but the price from it did not increase. Let's wait for succession of events now.
Still announcement and is not implemented yet, what do you expect?. However the main purpose of this new technology implementation is to improve the overall ability of the network, if the price goes up aswell, consider that as additional bonus. |

This is good news for the Etherum community, because with increased network faster, safer, less energy-intensive, and able to handle thousands of transactions per second, Etherum is better equipped to compete with other blockchain platforms. Ethreum is superior and more reliable

i think some things can not be saved. and in case of ethereum it has a bad history that it can not wipe away. even with a fork and change of how network works it may not be the solution that everyone thinks it is.
in my opinion Ethereum 2.0 should be a brand new platform that is built from scratch while learning from big mistakes that Ethereum made.

As for me, this is great news. Ethereum 2.0, it's like a second wind, at a marathon. Increasing the speed of transactions will positively affect the coin. Time will tell.

I wonder how this news will affect the price of the ETH, I think it will extend its submission and at the end of the year we will see price ETH not $ 1000 is good if it will be $ 100!
I'm pretty sure you would get more institutional investors buying Ethereum if it was POS, they understand it more as a dividend like system and would bite. Exactly, and even those who doesn't know any difference with the new supposed to be new version, I'm sure that there will be investors or Ethereum fan boys who's going to bite with the new hype. Again, we all know that buying because of a hype is not good, so it might died down, so its the devs turn to keep the community updated with the latest news. I haven't read it in detail so I don't know if its going to tackle the EOS or any other crypto's who's touted to be the ETH killer. |

Will this Ethereum 2.0 be the second life to this cryptocurrency or will the market just be disappointed again because the response to it is falling short to the general expectation making Ethereum a victim of its own update? I am actually hoping that this time around at least Eth can be providing us the kind of bull run we are hoping for...that is if Bitcoin is not yet ready for such an event. Let's just hope that this can be oasis in the desert for the Ethereum so many can be happy and satisfied.

I have heard about this, but Vitalik didnt say when this update will come.
Ethereum 2.0 - Serenity update will solve the problem with scallability and maybe also Proof of Stake will be implemented in this update.

I think people need to forget Ethereum hitting $1000 again because I don't see how a POS project would be so highly valuable, we all have a quantitative data to price value Bitcoin, what then would be used to value Ethereum and remember the good thing in this space is that one can easily fork a chain and dilute the value on it. Looking to see how this pans out

I look forward to having the integration done and the practical effect on the Ethereum blockchain. Eth has done terrible this year so far. If this upgrade pulls through then hopefully we should experience a spike.
If Vitalik's focus is now on the ETH 2.0, I am just curious in the sense that, what will happen to the current status of ETH 1.0? How about the investors of ETH, the price is so much decreased in this months, still no sign of recovery. But if this will actually happen, as Buterin's said, "Destroying jobs, Creating a better ones" = totally means the improvement of ETH for the investors and its users. |

Ethereum 2.0 will be a great step forward if it comes to fruition soon and its needed from an ETH point of view, there are many new coins that are looking to usurp ETH with faster, cheaper, more secure blockchains, but as of yet none of them are established, ETH 2.0 could make all of them irrelevant.
