Hey,

Looking to get some ideas from people so let me begin by explaining my situation:

- I initially invested around $3000 just over a year ago in crypto, which is now currently worth about $1000 (2/3rd loss). I've written this off/left it and am a firm believer the market will one day recover, be it short or long term.
- I then stopped investing early this year.
- I now have opportunity to save/invest $1000 each month (after all my bills and everything are paid for).
- I have $5000 saved in cash as emergency in case I need it.

How would you invest the $1000? Or would you just save it all, or only invest a bit of it each month based on market behaviour? What coins are good to look into investing slowly, with the belief they'll give the best returns if the market properly goes into a bull run?
If you are saving that much money in a monthly basis then you are doing fine in that aspect of your life but in my opinion you should take the time to develop your ability as an investor instead of investing now that you have no idea what to do with your money, once you know what you will do you can use your money to invest in whatever coin you think it is a good investment.

I'll bet it on ethereum. After seeing it bouncing back nearly as doubled from $80, I can clearly see that it's the only altcoin that are still useful in this bear market. People are still wanting to get in ICOs and that it the huge advantage of buying eth.

I would suggest XDMC, Bozz, TapCoin and BTC of course Grin

Investing to the ethereum is really good Idea and having more this coin can result to you to become rich the value of the ethereum is near at $100 and if you have 1000 dollars a months you can have it 10 ethereum and it is good and enough and for sure someday you can earn more money.

Ethereum is a good choice as it is stable for sometime at 0.03 BTC and its hard fork will commence near 25 February. At that time it price will defiantly increase.

One thing I would like to tell to OP and everyone that no matter how good an investment in a single coin is, we should never ever invest all in one coin. Everything is possible in crypto world and if you have investments in more than one coin, you will be safe if any mishap will happen to one of the coin.

It is better you invest the $1000 into those strong coins that have do very well but now are down.  If you seriously want to makes money you need to take serious risk as without risk it is very difficult to make it in life.

If we are ready for risk, then we can choose young coins that have good potential to continue to grow. Withal, old coins have also decreased a lot which seems to be good for entry. The risk will always be there, but when investors have high confidence, at least investors will not mistakenly choose coins to invest. $1000 every month will be very good if you can manage it well, don't make mistakes with that value, just choose the top coins in the community.

If you can take a look with all the coins project around then you can speculate and pick the coins that you think that will takeover after this bearish moment, we can't direct to any specific coins but with the help of your own assessment you choose between those coins who already exist and
place your money within a good entry position.

Picking those who are already in the top list can give some good breathing when the green market start you be strong again.

Now is the ideal time to invest, I would have invested all ETH for the first month, then XRP, and then I looked at interesting coins that sank heavily from the TOP 20, growth will be anyway, and it will happen soon.

Yes with the market being on lower side the best opportunity to buy as many coins possible with top most valued coin so that it can be bought very cheap and also will help you in the long run when the bull run begins this coins will grow multiple times and make you rich.

I think it will be a great idea if you can choose bitcoin as the main investment from now on until you can reach 1 btc and then moves to the other coins. Or you can stick with bitcoin only and don't use altcoin for the investment. But if you want to make 50:50 for bitcoin and altcoin in different altcoin for every month, then you should analyze the altcoin because there are too many coins in the market that you can choose. Perhaps, choosing the top 10 list on the coinmarketcap will be a good choice, but once again, you need to analyze every coin, so you don't make any mistake to buy the coins.

That was not the reason people began buying ethereum, people were excited about the hard fork that was coming and even if it is not going to generate new coins people wanted to buy ethereum because the upgrades are very important and could allow ethereum to scale in the future and that kind of development is precisely what we need during this bear market.

Good strategy, I have invested to ethereum as well and $1,000 would be ideal to diversify for coins like bitcoin, ethereum and other top coins that has fallen recently. The market keeps on moving badly but for those enthusiasts, we can see on how this would affect the market positively by giving a chance for all to have an entry to the market with such existing prices. Buy while the market isn't too high and it's market cap has reached the highest again, nothing to regret for buying now.

If your plan is to invest in cryptocurrency this year, then I will suggest you wait till the first quarter of the year is over so you see how things will play out.

If the price continue to drop till then (which I believe it would) then you wait a bit to see when it stops at what will seem to be the bottom, then you buy with your $1k and then continue to watch the market till the end of the year, cause I believe that before this year ends, there will be a good change, especially in Bitcoin. Don’t know for altcoins if there is going to be any good change. Most of the predictions I’m seeing are hitting on Bitcoin mainly.

I think it's better to save those $1k each month and just continue to observe. I still feel very nervous when btc goes below $3,5k and then many FUD articles gets released to scare the people away. Just save it and then wait for couple of good news and then that is the time you slowly invest you money.

Why are you nervous if the prices goes down? It is totally normal. Investing in crypto is like a businesses which if you give money to invest make sure you all know the possible risk and don't forget the main goal is to gain profit.

I would invest 60% of it in btc or eth and rest kept as saving which can be used in other purpose, you can invest in other investment as well not just in crypto but crypto investment has high return in short term and risk is also associated.i think it is good time to enter market and invest in some good token or main crypto and have patience not to sell off quickly.

Hey,

Looking to get some ideas from people so let me begin by explaining my situation:

It is a good bet to invest in ETH as prices will keep on rising of such good coins . It is only matter of time where market is low but sooner we will see it rising much quicker and growing multiple times in coming months. This is a great times to keep investing in other altcoins as well which you feel has a great future .
