in what context? if the negative context is very easy to viral, but if in a positive case I think it's difficult, because the media and most people just like bad news rather than good. the proof is that last year where Bitcoin rose very high but there are still many people who don't know Bitcoin. Exactly! It already goes viral due to its extraordinary approach as a payment system and also because of its blockchain technology. However, I believe that it will make more noise once its price will skyrocket. The bad side is that there have been misconceptions and lack of awareness of what truly this technology is all about. I believe what we can do is to keep our constant support and by taking few steps to have it introduced to a friend or to family members.

 To my opinion Crypto is created or introduced as  a decentralized one now a days most of the thing to become viral is through some social media's that is by face book , whats app .and you tube then how can that be a decentralized one ? it would be a centralized one since the identity is revealed through these media's . There's actually a lot of things we can do. Starts from making several posts on Twitter about the good of crypto, making funny but yet educational YouTube videos, or even creating a tutorial website.
I've posted a topic about Using Social Media for Bitcoin if some of you might be interested to read it.

That kind of approach can make some people to adopt cryptocurrencies so it is worth a try but you are not going to convince millions of people doing that, the average person is too happy with the way things are and they only look for answers about the problems they are facing when the problems are right in front of them, so the only way for them to question fiat currency is if fiat currency begins to fail.

LOL you think people will visit a meetup on a small scale to talk about pseudo-anonymous currencies which is mostly used by cyber-criminals?

Im not trying to FUD but be realistic in what you speak of instead of going longshot speculative. Those meetups that you see happening in different part of the world are generally done by crypto adopters of large scale and by large I mean several big whales. They also advertise ICOs and crypto related projects there so that adds to the funds as well.

The word viral is something more appropriate to social media giants and not physical connections.

IMO, bitcoin already reach "viral" moment on last Nov-Dec 2017 and for year 2018, bitcoin is on adjustment age where the market show the true "identity" on people's demand.
