Sorry to say but its unlikely they will refund you it is strange that 2fa didnt kick in so its worth mentioning that to them in the support ticket, but I wouldn't hold your breathe about getting your bitcoin back.

Look like someone knows your bittrex password and has an email password that you access to your bittrex account. Next time you can change the ability to log in to your bittrex account using Google Authonticator, this method is most difficult to steal your asset by someone except someone who can use your smartphone freely. For your bitcoin that has been lost, I guess it will be difficult to return to your account back, unless the person who stole your bitcoin returns it.

This can only happen when someone have access to your account and email address. Bittrex is a good and well secured exchange. Do not be careless with your account. If your BTC is stolen there is no way you can get it back.

This is so difficult and pathetic. It means the hacker has access to your email and Bittrex platform at same time. As you earlier on pointed out Bittrex will send an email which you must confirm before having access to the bittrex platform. So if all your altcoin was converted to BTC and carted away by an unauthorized person, then i am afraid that money is gone for good rbut still continue with suppor

Your aim shouldn't be to try to get your coins back (which won't work), but to find out HOW this happened. Since you always received an email when logging in, the attacker obviously didn't have to login (or had access to your email account and deleted the mail). The easiest way to circumvent a login is to steal the cookie stored in your browser after you login. I'd gladly help you to find out (or at least limit the possibilities) of what happened. In order to find this out, we need as much information as possible. If you are interested, start off with answering these questions: - What OS / browser are you using?
- Do you have any shady browser extensions installed ? Can you name all ?
- Did you check your computer for malware (i highly recommend doing this!) ?
- Did you use the password for your email account anywhere else ?
- Also, what kind of 2FA did you use ? Google authenticator, email, SMS ?

This is totally unusual, every time you login in your account a notification will be sent to your email. Not unless if someone gets access to your device used which is already logged in but it's less to happen. You can track your coin with the address used to withdraw but there's minor chance or should I say zero chance that you will get back the lost funds.
More chances this is right as Op didn’t mentioned whats really happened about the account being hacked if the gadget or the computer he has using borrowed by other person and made the hacking,no one can tell.so i am pretty sure that the coins can’t be return back as this is a case of carelessness and nothing to blame but the owner itself.unless he can provide a proof that ti am wrong

and you used 2fa? because if you used 2 then no one would have hacked your record and everything would be ok. you should not deny your own security

I find this very strange and there is something wrong. Everyone recognizes that the Bittrex trading platform has a high level of user protection, it has never been hacked or a major unfortunate incident. So I think you should send a support request to Bittrex Support and secure your email. And in this case do you have 2Fa security?

if your account was hacked through the fault of the exchange itself, then of course you will get your coins back, but if you were hacked because of your own carelessness, then you will not get anything

You must have contacted Bittrex immediately. Even if you haven't been through by now, just get back in there so you can get it back if your money is still there. This is a very bad thing, and hopefully no one lives such a bad thing.

You are 💯% right on this. It's a rare situation except it's been done by someone that knows him in and out. Quite unforuntate the Bitcoin in the account is gone and gone for good.

Your chances of recovering your stolen bitcoin is very slim I think your password had been hacked thus gaining access to your account hacking of people's account had become a serious issues in the cryptos world even some exchanges had been a victim of hackers, ensure that you enable google authenticator linked to your mobile phone to prevent future occurrences.

Looks like someone a week ago, converted all my altcoins to BTC then transferred it out.
Reported to Bittrex but what are the chances of getting anything back (it was 0.12 BTC about $700)? Are Bittrex liable at all?
Its strange because normally bittrex emails whenever someone logs on but I didnt get it at the time. I can see the dates/times these transactions occured.
if you find a problem like this it is better to immediately contact contact support especially about account problems, I have never heard information that a Bittrex account can be hacked, so this is most likely your own carelessness. because if indeed this hacking happened massively, I'm sure there will soon be the latest news regarding this matter

If your assets still exist, immediately contact Cust-service to temporarily freeze your account, then you can change the password along with Google Auth for security.
Please read again what OP stated. Funds are lost. Even if he freezes his account it's useless. All he can do is to move on and use other reputed exchange but if you still want to use your bittrex account make sure you that you enable all the security features of any exchange including 2fa. I am suffering from same case and same problem . because I have also lost my hitbtc account . How can I feedback my account ? Please help anyone...
I read/saw many cases before about hacked funds from hitbtc even 2fa is enabled so your case is not surprising. What you can do is to stay away from them and take your mistakes as a lesson. Or try to enable all security feature of hitbtc as what I mentioned above, and at least change your email as well.

Bittrex will just wash their hands on individual hacks, because they are covered in their ToS. These companies will only do something when there are a large hack and they stand to lose customers with the bad publicity, if they do nothing. That's what I meant on my previous reply here. No one would believed that Bittrex will do some sh*t for just an individual account so complaints will be just sent to thin air. It's really impossible that funds will just lost in an instant and the user is sure that their security is fine. The hacker bypassed the 2fa or email verification or any types of verification so the reason is, a) hacker knows the victim personally b) Bitrrex f*cked them up. Just a speculation though. Anyways, I also mentioned that there are maybe part of the story that OP missed or forgot so our answer here just depends on what OP told us.

I guess its better for you to contact the support, I am using Bittrexx for 2 years now and their security is more tight compare last year. Your situation is quite odd and maybe a glitch error or someone hacked your account.

In my opinion you made mistake. If Exchange is not obliged to send mail, using 2FA is not the problem of exchange or the use of a weak password. You are right, most of secure exchange sends mail, but it is your fault that you don't protect your money. Anyway, if it is written in the rules, your resistance is futile.
