I think your assumption is wrong.. Although EOS has been more acomaditive for games and dAPPs, the ETH blockchain is still widely used for hosting tokens and smart contracts for ICOs than EOS.

More projects are still using Ethereum for smart contract platforms and dapps. I'm not very much knowledgeable with the competition of the two but isn't it great that blockchain technology is emerging and is gaining more attraction?

Both coins has really great potential, you can have them all together. But I have more of etherium than EOS, I believe that etherium have reached the point where it is still possible to be regain. The community of etherium also is bigger that EOS, which means only that it has good potential and have become as one of the most established coin. But still it is good to hold both, after all you can have them all in one wallet called Hodler which is the only fully open source multiwallet.

If we talk about the games, i prefer to play game in EOS network.
There are many interesting dapp games based on EOS coin and tokens already.
For ETH, i think it is more suitable for holding ICO than using games dapps in their network.
