Why people prefer Business over Job?

You get to be your own boss, owning a business saves you from having to work for anyone else plus after some years your business will be at a good level and your kids can start from there only and will find ways to expand more

I am impressed with the answer. But I don't want my kids to be a Silver Spoon Kids. I want them to be self-made like their Dad so they should know how much it takes to reach the level of success for which their Dad has worked for.

Some people especially Millennials despise the current system of the usual 9-5 and living from paycheck to paycheck. For them it's simple a form of modern day slavery of capitalism. And with your own business you could be your own boss and you control your own time and ofc there's a higher appeal when you have your own business.

I understand you. But don't take it too closely. Business seems to someone more profitable than just work. People are different, there is no right, someone chose a business, and someone else has a job and in both cases there is no good or bad. And the one who scoffs at such, they are just underdeveloped,everyone who knows how difficult it is to earn money will not scoff at others.

Everyone has their different level of comforts in life.

If every one runs a business. Then they cannot hire any staffs. If everyone wants to be employed... then they will be jobless.

When it comes to business... people always confuse self-employment and business altogether. Especially those MLM/network marketers.
Self-employment is basically spending a small sum of your money to make more money in return.
Real business includes having to lookout for the shareholders in the company. Having to pay the staff.  Having people relying on you to make a living.

So for a person earning 7k to 10k a month. It is comfortable. And such person may just like to do wharever they are doing. But if they are being thrust into self-employment... most of them may not last long. Don't even mention business.

So work on your own pace, walk according to your capacity and do not be pressured by peers who think working for others is low-life.

I have been noticing from last 2-3 years on social media, in-person discussions and on random occasions that people have started too much praising to have a business of your own instead of a job.
Like, sharing business quotes pictures in the executive style. Why is that? I mean, I am a self-made man, I started doing job when I was 16 and until now I am doing the job at a very good place & yeah I can say proudly that I am happy with my life, I am able to pull everything, achieving my personal goals slowly. Yeah, it's true that I spent too much of my time in Office but the question remains the same.

It really makes me sick that people often taunt me with "You should have built your own business until now like, Mr. Dave's son did". WTF?

Why? Is it a disrespect to work for someone?

Different people have different views about life. Some people like to live a tension free average life. So such people choose job over business.

Starting a business and making profit from it , is not a easy task. The chance of success is less than 10%.

Initial investment of business is very high. Middle class people cant take risk by spending there life savings on a business. So the will choose job.

At last business is an art….mastering in that art is no easy job, your college degrees wont help you to succeed in business. So people prefer a common root than a road less traveled.

Certainly. However most of them do not see the the potential challenges in doing business and are often unprepared. so they went in and crash out.

Business makes you so much independent as whatever you do and how many hours you put it is for yourself and not for somebody else. You have so many challenges and you carve out the way how to resolve by yourself and as well you help in generating employment and help their family indirectly as well.

Well if you are comfortable with what you are doing and you are satisfied with the current job you have right now, there's no need to get annoyed with what people are saying to you, each of us has our own reason and opinion but the most important is you are good at what you are doing and you enjoy doing it, you cannot please everybody you have to go on with your life and enjoy.

If you have a business of your own there will be no time limit for you if you have a job you have to follow the rules of the hiring authority. Which usually lasts eight hours but there will be no time limit on doing business you can work less time if you want again, if you want to work more time it will depend entirely on your own will enjoy life as you wish business income is more than the job.

This question is difficult for me to answer because I haven't ever done any job - I have always worked on my own business. However, if we compare then it is always people who do their job properly - makes the foundation for other people's success in business.

If you say that you have worked hard on a job for years - that means the owner of your company has made plenty of money from your hard work. Now he must have a huge business with more money and more people - just like you - working for him and making him rich.

Business is always better - but it is the other side of the same coin, if businesses don't have people like you - they will never have so much success.

Not everyone is a risk taker like a businessman. There are those people that prefer to remain as themselves being an office worker or to stay with the profession of white-collar job.

when someone taunts you because you are an employee then reply to their taunts...

a good businessman will not want to mock those who live as employees because he understands that not everyone will be as lucky as him and able to build a business successfully. don't be ashamed that you are an employee because you do that sincerely and without regrets.
