Yes, this year I do not plan to take part in black Friday. At the moment,it is better to wait with gifts and wait for an extraordinary black Friday, which can come at any time. When Bitcoin will cost $ 30,000 dollars, then at any moment I will have black Friday Grin.I want all Bitcoin owners to be independent and not wait for Black Friday for a whole year.

Ok, but what happens if that does not happen. Huh What if the price goes down further and you did not make use of the opportunity to buy things at a high price, when the price was $6000+?

My strategy has always been to buy things with 20% of my bitcoins and then to replace it. This way I get something from my investment, even if it fails.

Do not be left with empty hands, if this goes belly up.  Wink

I would spend any bitcoins at these prices, it's way too low. A better option is to keep accumulating and then spend during the january sales

If you are talking about the price of bitcoin in 8000 dollars last black Friday in 2017, today with a price of 6500 dollars no black Friday is not needed and it is so clear that the price is cheaper and it is necessary to buy now.
The second option if you still wait for black Friday and prepare for this I would be very much if the price of bitcoin drops to 4000 to buy altcoins and bitcoin at a very good price.

Looking at the Bitcoin price trend this year, we might not have such a good Black Friday this year.  Roll Eyes Last year around Black Friday, we had a Bitcoin price around $8000+ and we could stock up on the Xmas gifts, but this year is a whole other story.  Roll Eyes

So what are your plans for Black Friday?

1. Will you be hoarding?
2. Will you buy goods at a discount price, at a lower Bitcoin price?
3. Doing business as usual?
4. Offering Black Friday discounts as a retailer/merchant, even if the Bitcoin price is lower than last year?

I have not seen any big announcements or planning for some major Bitcoin Black Friday specials, so I presume everyone just assume that the Bitcoin owners will be hoarding their coins.  Roll Eyes

Let's share some thought.  Grin

I agree with you that the Bull run may not come this year, I think it will happen most probably next year The price of Bitcoin and other Alts have stablize, which is of course a good sign for the market But, anything can happen. Bull run or no Bull run, it will be Business as usual for me

Oh well, I will do the business as usual because I keep on buying bitcoin right now this is my habit now I think. Black Friday may boost the price of bitcoin, since its discounted but I think the price will not last on that level because bitcoin will grow high again slowly. Yes, there is no strong news to push the market up and hodlers are doing their best to keep their bitcoin safe on their wallet.

That's the best thing that we cane do right now aside from holding. Don't just hold, buy more, Accumulate more!
Green days is coming, let's have a wonderful holidays this year. keep your faith burning with bitcoin. Cheesy

It is not over yet, the year have not ended. It will just take one good news, event or development that can bring bull run that will cause smile that can wipe away all the tears of some investors. Keep your fingers crossed and be vigilant.

Don't know about you guys, but this forum's Marketplace section always looks like it's having great Black Friday deals. I have watched in 2016 and 2017, only problem for me is that they're always snapped up so quickly, or the auctions go to sniping mode with lot of snipers lying in wait. I say "problem" but I guess it's just part of the festivities. Missed out on really nice items been eyeing for some time, so will probably participate and try my luck.

P.S. The device I'm using now was bought on a BF deal... I have been putting an upgrade on hold for as long as possible. Tempting to get myself something that doesn't keep freezing on me, but yeah, with BTC prices the way they are, it will feel a bit of an unnecessary splurge.

The advantage of a flat market is that people will not be upset for having spent coins that increase significantly in value afterwards. In other words, they have all the time they need to restock their coins around the same levels. That's what I am going to do as well. The more we spend the more merchants are willing to go all out during the next holiday sale events.

Just show them that we actually do use Bitcoin as money, because that's the main motivator for merchants to take Bitcoin seriously. CoinGate allows around 4000 merchants to accept LN payments, so you may give them some love too.

I don't really plan anything to do, I'll just be saving up Bitcoins as I do everyday. I don't make a big deal out of Black Friday. I might spend some if I find some really good deals on stuff I need, I'll only be careful with spending as I have a very small amount of Bitcoin and I want to save up as much as I can.

I definitely would still hodl my bitcoins as I've been doing for a while now..
I've been having this urge lately to sell off,but I think I'll still ignore the pressure and hodl till the price is at a reasonably high amount

I look forward to see what Namecheap comes up with, because they usually have pretty sick deals when it comes to hosting packages, and dedicated servers, and I might scoop up some $0.99 .coms if they don't run out instantly.

Everything better than cheating local stores with their fake discounts. They usually increase their prices in the runup to these special sale days, then act like they took like 25% off the price while you pay the price of 2 months ago.

Too bad we're in a bear market right now, otherwise people would spend Bitcoin left and right to work around taxation legally, because spending Bitcoin and other crypto currencies isn't subject to taxation in most countries.

BSV is not the real Bcash. Bcash is the real Bcash.

Even better yet, stock up on bitcoins on a flat market, before Black Friday starts. A lot of people are planning to buy with Fiat currencies or credit cards, but I find that it is much better to fund my Bitcoin wallet with fiat that I saved through the year, instead of credit. The regret is much worst if you bought with credit, than having to worry about buying stuff and dealing with the regret that you bought those coins with a low priced bitcoin and the price increasing later.  Wink

Thank you for the CoinGate tip, I will check them out this year.  Wink
