I never noticed the price of ETH fell sharply while the rest of the coins grew.
What type of price tracker are you using? just a simple search with coinmarketcap you'll see that the whole market is falling including bitcoin and the rest of the market. ETH dropped quickly from its peak for this year except early January, starting by February it is falling sharply.

And right now, it has been overtaken by XRP on its rank and its market cap lost a lot of money due to the bear market. And OP is right, there are many ICO makers that held a lot of ETH dumped accordingly.

Hello, You know guys most of reason why ETH falls down because of a lot of scammers used the smart contract and make a bright idea about for the future but its only fake. They always convince the investor using their good marketing strategy and once the investors are convinced so they invest their money. And once the scammers has a lot of ETH accumulated from the investors the will sell immediately so they can affect the whole market cap of ETH. What do you think?

You mean that the scammers affect the price of ETH. I think the scammers are the ICO projects. Recently, the ratio of scam ICO projects tend to increase to more than 50%, and huge affect on the price of ETH. And I so worried because I'm a bounty hunter, and I don't want to waste my time to work for scam ICO projects.

The scammer can give an impact to the price of ethereum. Remember these scammers will dump their ethereum that has been collected through fool others to the market instantly. They don't care so much about how much rate but they always try to dump it for pennies. these idiots scammers are uneducated person.

I don't think ETH price is bleeding just because of scammer or scammer can have any effect on ETH price Smiley. If scammers are trying to scam money from investors by using smart contract so investors just need to avoid investing in ICO project based on ETH blockchain or they just need to check every project more carefully before investing Smiley.

Yep, seems that this is true, not only scummers but many other ICO GURU and excellent managers, that raised funds and then cannot follow their roadmap or just some dates that they had stated by themselves.

ICO market seems like a bubble and it had exploded

There are many forms of scam online and countless scammers. Scammers appear everywhere, they are crowded, sophisticated and dangerous incalculable. Without the knowledge of safe trading, you become the scammer's "prey". It not only caused ETH to fall sharply but also to other coins.

I don't think the scammers have exactly such purposes. They collect ether and also hold it, waiting for growth. It makes no sense for them to try to bring down the price of ether. They just want to make money on crypto like us, but they choose such a bad way.

This is actually a very valid statement and sadly, it's valid for a lot of projects out there. They clearly don't do it to drop the price because they don't really care about that.

But mainly because they don't want to be traced or the address being flagged or something so they just move to fiat as soon as possible and live a good life afterwards.

It might be one of the whole bunch of reasons but remember about ton of ICO projects which need to pay expenses and need to sell their collected Ether.

I dont think thats affecting on ethereum price. Ethereum is not a token with smart contract, but i am agree that give bad perspective for ethereum. But i am agree that many scammer using ethereum for scamming people and sell it when accumulated will affecting on ethereum price

Well it's not just scammers that have dumped ETH. Some legit projects have had to sell to raise funds.

What you say is true. Lately a lot of scam project even to recognize from the beginning is very difficult. Some scammers have nice marketing technique that is very remarkable to made investor believe. For now on eth platform has been very risky. Some people get get easily smart contract and make their project. I think eth need more security updates.
Sometimes good scammers are planning it right to make it undetectable for the investors. We must be very careful upon selecting high quality ico projects. Because many projects right now looks very legit. But at the end the team will exit scam after accumulating large funds in the tokensale.

i think that's can affect market condition when scammer dumping Ethereum market for get big profit, especially when any some project with Scam Ending, i think the developer can dump the market whn they're sell the fund from crowdsale
I never noticed the price of ETH fell sharply while the rest of the coins grew. A ICO projects raise funds not only at ETH but also in other popular currencies. So, if a quick sale needs to fall in the price of all the coins. But in any case, it is necessary to fight fraud . You need to give them the collected funds strictly for the implementation of the road map and not on personal expenses.
But that is impossible, once you give your money to someone else you have no rights over that money, the developers can use that money as they want and it is going to be impossible for you to stop them, that is why you need to be very careful about the ico projects in which you choose to invest because if you are not then you're going to be in a situation in which you know the developers are going to waste money that should be used for the development of the project.

It certainly impacts ETH price. Currently ETH has the most amount of tokens, project built using it. And many researches have claimed that 70%+ of ETH projects either fail or are outright scams. So obviously a big chunk of ETH is in the hands of these scammers, phishers etc. And they keep cashing it out, affecting ETH's price. Also legit projects need to sell ETH to continue their development.  I think in order to provide more value to ETH, we need to be more cautious of where we are investing our ETH. If we keep investing ETH in quick profit shady projects, then it will come to bite us only in the long term, like now.

yes, that reason seems to me very plausible because scammers will never care about the price of ETH now, what they have in mind is just money, money and money ... and after they sell everything, surely he will try to cheat many more people

Certainly in your words a lot of sense. ETH is in constant danger. Imagine how much of the investment we lose each year. The more popular the investment in ICO, the more scammers. Just if you take general statements from the forum, about 70% of the projects are now non-liquid. Even if the projects will use Eos this will not fix the situation. Since vseravno money go fraudsters.

But this is not the only problem.

The ETH amount collected by Scam projects will definitely be converted to cash. You're right about that. And this will always be a factor in lowering the price of Ethereum. Scam projects and unnecessary projects have also collected millions of dollars of ethereum. They all have a lot of ethereum. And this is a great danger ...

It's not just the developers that dump their ETH, these ICOs often give huge discounts to early bird investors and it is these guys that dump at the fist opportunity. Bounty hunters only have 2% of the supply which has a low impact on prices

As much as it is  true, that is the sad part of it.
It happens not only to ETH but to most ICO tokens.
That is the whole point of scamming, which also leads o dump coins.
These people do not intend to drop the price, but their sole purpose is to make money faster and leave no trace

Most of the goals of dark project developers or scammers, only want to get the maximum profit, they don't care about the conditions of the existing price or future price conditions. When they get funding from investors, they tend to sell it directly because there is a sense of worry if the project will be tracked by law enforcement. However, even though they only focus on profit, in the end their actions can still influence the price of ETH and other cryptos.
