yeah because in my opinion it is safer and has a price movement that tends to be stable I prefer investments that are safe from price spikes that always occur suddenly or up or down.

I completely agree with you. It seems to me that it would be funny to ask even such a question. No one will doubt the most rated coins and their future prospects. Even with the current state of the cryptocurrency market, rating coins are most valued.

And these coins have already establsihed a good following and are actually being used transctionally like dash and litecoin. Though i doubt that there will be any sudden action for these top coins like new ones, security compared to others would be what you'll get.

As advised I am trying to learn the basics of crypto first.

Most of the suggestions mention investing in top ranked coins. My question is, does it always work? As far as I understand, the market is vulnerable and affects almost all the coins from top to bottom. How then you determine which ones would stay ?

- I think you should stop thinking long term investment in the top crypto because as you can see, things have changed over time, the collapse is starting to happen more easily, and if we invest in the long term, we will become victims. Thats right. coins that are in the top rank doesnt mean they will avoid big dumps right? any coin is very likely to be hit by a wave of downward trend. you're right the point is not on the top rank. but look for coins that have good conditions and have the potential to rise
