In fact, I currently only invest in 2 Altcoins, the rest of the investment allocation is in Bitcoin. Since I lost a lot due to the wrong choice of altcoin, I have decided to choose bitcoin as the main investment. of course I do not want to get even greater losses because of these investments. if you still believe in the new altcoin please because it is all your right.but I have never known and also invested can be your preference

Top-ranked coins have fundamentals that are more reliable than other coins, on average these coins are more expensive because they have been tested and popular in every development. Traders like it for the long term because its movements tend to be constant and measurable. I am flexible and do not always trade quickly, I hold this coin until I reach the profit target.

that is true because the greater the risk the greater the profits as well as high and expensive values and prices of course the profits are much greater and see the ranking of coins contained in the crypto market because our confidence will be better with coins that are trusted and have sufficient price and value I'm still confident with BTC or ETH coins that can make us benefit |

Hi Everyone,
As advised I am trying to learn the basics of crypto first.
Most of the suggestions mention investing in top ranked coins. My question is, does it always work? As far as I understand, the market is vulnerable and affects almost all the coins from top to bottom. How then you determine which ones would stay ?
Not all the times perhaps but I can be guaranteed that investing in top-ranked coins holds a low amount of risk compared to lower-ranked coins. In my case, I prefer to invest of course to Bitcoin which has the highest volume in the market, next to it is Ethereum and XRP. These coins have a high probability to give a high return when uptrend comes. These coins as well have been proved their existence in the market, sometimes they drop but can recover or even more in just a matter of time. As an investor, I do consider the risk of what I am taking even make some analysis first to lessen the probability of losing my funds. |

Of course we always invest in top ranked currencies for a variety of reasons: - Many investors will have a high price - Risk reduction. - Sell out easily and quickly For example, now you buy into bitcoin and ethereum is very good. These are all the top currencies. |

I agree with your view, when they dump, they dump usually dump hard as well, so it's safe to say that they survive when the market struggle but you'll get rewarded more when the market is bullish as they usually pump and that would give us a bigger return for holding. we should learn how to trust and be patient to benefit on holding top coins, they are bound for success, maybe not all of them but at least big portion of them. |

Well yes all of is specially new to the crypto world will invest in to the higher rank cryptocurrencies because its popular and has proven itself to be worth your money and newbies will be comfortable with that but if you are here in thr crypto world for quite some time then you can be interested in researching about new coins that can have potential to be the next high rank coin in the future and that will give you huge huge amount of money if you invested in it while its quite new and then after few years it booms to the market, it will be hard to do that but success requires courage, requires you to be brave but you must be wise and be in control of yourself at all times. |

We are all pretty aware what is going on with even BTC when it comes to whale movements so we can also easily imagine what is going on in smaller market caps where literally single player (person) can do these type of maneuvers. It is super scary and also hard to beat the guy who is controlling 90% of assets.

Top ranked coins are bitcoin and ethereum, other coins change their rank very often. In recent history we have seen many changes in top 20, and I believe there will be more changes in the future. Entire crypto market is risky for investing, but proportional to that risk is the possible reward (profit) we can make. I think people should invest in these 2 top coins, but not all the time, give some room to some other coins that can easily improve their rank in upcoming years and overtake some current top ranked coins.
Go back a few years and look at Top 10 coins and see where they are now. We even have a scamcoin that's gone now from those lists (Bitconnect) and if we're being honest, we still have scamcoins in the Top 20 today (look at Bitcoin SV for the scammiest of them all). So yeah, the top rank coins don't mean anything much because it's just market cap. I'd love to see a ranking for real users, BTC and ETH would still top that I guess. |

Generally, the top ranked coins are a safer investment. So, I try to stick with those if I'm planning to hold longer term. If I'm just looking for a quick trade that will go through less than a week then I will trade just about anything. However, for long term holding, I usually only hold ETH or BTC. I know they're not going to be completely worthless in a matter of a few months.

Most probably if you want a safe, secure and assured investment, you would also choose to invest into the top rank cryptocurrency coins because they are the ones with the greatest potential due to the fact that it have the greatest demands and the price movement is active due to the active participation of the people in the market purchasing and investing into those coins. If I would be asked, I would preferably invest into the top rank coins because of the proven potential over time. Now in your case as a newbie learning the basics of investing into crypto, investing into top rank coins will also be the best option you could have. It's just that mostly the coins that belong to the top rank are that expensive to afford but surely worthy once purchased and invested. This strategy of investing into the top coins most of the time works because you can assure that your investment is safe with those coins and can do have potential of gaining profit, but in a matter of time depending on the situation of the market. |

I agree, and top ranked cryptocurrency has more potential and definitely has highly chance of increasing their value in just a couple of days or weeks because there is a lot of investor and trader are trading them. And mostly, those ranked coins has big potential and surely in the future they will be uprank much more. |

I personally invest mostly only in the coins that are among the top 50, I think there are the most promising coins, especially I am sure of these coins. |
