Will you also cash out some bitcoins to shop at Walmart or Amazon or whatever retailer you shop at, that are giving these massive discounts?
If there's a stuff that's been sitting on my wishlist going on a big discount, then I'll probably do it. Otherwise, I won't. It's not really a good habit to buy anything just because that thing is on a discount. Moreover, in this case, it involves spending out my Bitcoin. Even with fiat, I will always think twice to spend my money on an 80%-90% discounted stuff.

Why would you cash out? Just buy enough coin to make your purchases.

I see a slight drop in the price in the last couple of days and that made me think, why this might happen now. My best guess is that a lot of people might be converting bitcoins to fiat to enable them to buy cheap goods at retailers that are not offering Bitcoin payments. Will you also cash out some bitcoins to shop at Walmart or Amazon or whatever retailer you shop at, that are giving these massive discounts? This will surely explain the drop in the price, a week before Black Friday starts. I see no other major announcement that would explain the recent drop in the price. for this year, of course we have to use our assets to enjoy, rather than having to sink into the situation and the falling market, it is better to cash out and spend on black Friday events or other needs.

Personally I'm not going to buy anything with bitcoin, I'm waiting for the boom to end at the end of the year and withdraw it. The market repeats itself same graphics fallen.

Even if someone did as you wrote, it is still unlikely to affect the price of bitcoin. To manipulate the price of such a coin requires more serious news.

For me that is not a reason why it would affect the market? The price of every coin is not depending on every shopping discount, it was depending on how many people sell or buy a coin if they panic the price will continue to drop down because many people would sell their coin and it was obvious that they can't handle any pressure it might be.

Well what if people want to give out bitcoins for christmas? The holiday season may actually cause the demand for bitcoin to increase. You don't want to be left behind on the boat when the prices are rising. The historic charts show that bitcoin always rises a lot towards the end of the year.

no, that in my opinion is a very stupid thing I consider bitcoin to be my biggest asset, my future investment asset and only because black Friday I sell a loss. I'm sure people here must have savings in the bank that they can spend on blackfriday

When I use bitcoins as a payment option, I usually just buy the amount of coins I need from the money that I would have used via Fiat and I pay with Bitcoin. I do not lose any coins in the process, because I do not use coins from my hoard. Sometimes I replace the coins after I purchased something with bitcoins from my hoard and this price drop is ideal for that, because I am buying coins at a much lower price. <extra discount> I will not cash out, but I will use some bitcoins, because it is safe to use for eCommerce.

that doesn't make any sense! if you want to purchase something then do it with bitcoin, there is no reason to convert bitcoin back to fiat then using that fiat to buy stuff. and if you want to purchase with fiat then i am sure that everyone owns fiat, it is not like people invest every single dime they have in bitcoin to have to sell it to get some fiat back!!! not to mention that with the current bitcoin discount that is going on you should be buying bitcoin instead of selling it

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip. Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

To be honest, I am a believer in the sustainable crypto ecosystem so if I am purchasing something and if I see Bitcoin as a payment option then it would be my first preference of payment method. However, cashing out the funds and spending it in fiat or any other form of currency is not romantic as a crypto lover. I would spend my crypto funds directly instead of cashing out.

No man, I am not cashing out Bitcoin just to shop on Black Friday. The discounts are good, but I will just use fiat which is not as valuable as my Bitcoin. It doesn’t make sense to sell my Bitcoin at such low price.

The exact opposite. Actually hoping there is a black Friday swan of Bitcoin items. Namely purchasing a CASA lightning node.

I usualy use Bitcoins in everyday life to make a purchase. But I don't exchange it for fiat, I have Bitcoin debit card and that makes shoping much more easier. To exchange Bitcoin just for shoping with diacount maybe is not the most clever idea but I'm sure there will be some people who will do it. On the other hand I always say that true value of Bitcoin is possibility to use in real life for real stuff so why not to use that.

Holders of Bitcoin have several options to use their assets. It is very possible that some have changed theirs to shop, but Black Friday is becoming more frequent these days. It is most probably FUD that could result in withdrawals.

I don't think the black friday would effect the bitcoin price in negative ways. The price has dropped already and the market showed its strenght and it seems that the price got stabilised for now. I am not sure that howmany crypto users would exchange their coins for shopping.. I believe that this is common in USA not for the other countries in the world. So the price wouldn't drop anymore i guess..

Bitcoin is volatile, and can easily rise and crash without good/bad news. We can think of reasons and speculate on why prices move such directions, but there's really no way to know for sure.
As a Legendary member that has been here since 2014, you should probably know this by now.
Like you mate,i was thinking how a legendary member that has been in the community for more than 4 years asking this kind of question, isn’t it funny that this guy don’t know whats the capacity of bitcoin to grow and bring profit to the investors But to answer the question ,well i am not going to cash out just because of black friday as for me theres no reason why i should do that

What is the connection of black friday to the fall of bitcoin? Is it a superstitious belief in this industry? Well, it is nothing in my part because even there is a black friday, I would not cash out my bitcoin. I will support this coin forever specially that it gave me money during the time I need. Bitcoin will never gone because there are many people that are ready to support with it.
