As what i observe in those ico with teams in their platform or more trustable compare to teams that is anonymous mate because, we cannot know what is running into their minds, what if they will go run away, they have a big reason because they dont state their names and nobody knows them. So be in wise, choose those projects that are legit

There are projects that have anonymous teams but their projects are successful, while there are projects that have real teams, they run away and end up scam, I still believe in an anonymous team even if they have better technology than their competitors.

Satoshi didn't do an ICO, that's main point. Every scam ICO has anonymous team members (or at least the main person).

for ico I think it is very important to publish the tea that joins and the transparency of the funds obtained. I am sure that transparency can make more value than project ico. indeed there is no guarantee that the team's identity is scam or not. because now many projects also scam even with a very good team composition.

I think that in spite of decentralization we should see people whom we trust our money. Now there are a lot of fraudulent projects and the credibility of Iko has fallen dramatically.
Yes it is true, there's no need to hide if the project is legit and worth to trust with. This remind me about so many pictures ( admin and team member of the project ) but lack of information, many people trap on this kind of visualization content of websites or even in white paper. This is a foul play, if you don't understand and newbie on this kind of league. So better to educate our self and be responsible on many things.

If an ICO team is anonymous, it is almost scam, 99% it will scam you. Never invest in any ICO that has anonymous team. There is no reason to hide team members behind a project. Team member is a vital criteria to rate a project, many investors invest based on team member. When i'm researching about a new ICO, team is first thing i look for, no team, no invest.

If an ICO team is anonymous, I will say no need to invest ins such project, that gives a very strong signal of scam. Because they can leave at any time and you may not know who to communicate with.

It only makes the project riskier, I am sure that project will not succeed because investors nowadays are very careful due to high scam in the community.
We are not in the earliest stage of bitcoin, although bitcoin's founder is anonymous but it did not require us to invest, we are the one who makes it valuable because it's a good technology.

Unfortunately, it really can be a scam and the likelihood of a scam project, especially when the team is really anonymous really grows. Therefore, I would probably start checking the developers themselves.

about anonymous and not the team I think is indeed quite important. but that does not mean the conclusion that anonymous direction to project teams scam. sure they have a reason behind it, and most importantly there is always an exact analysis of vigilance and not from the side of the team only. worrying indeed, because many already happening ICO run cheat investors. but to believe in an anonymous team is also not a problem.

Of course this is a scam. The fraudsters had previously even put someone else’s photographs as their ICO team, and now they don’t even want to do that. Investors want them to send their millions of dollars just on a piece of paper about where they are going to spend the collected money. And everyone should believe those who do not even want to call themselves. The ICO team in any case should not be anonymous. Who then deals with the purchase of new tokens?

From my previous understand if the team is not answering the question then it is very good to leave the project by selling those coins in the market. Major coin prices are based on the announcement and developments they do whatever they mentioned in the roadmap.

Most probably yes, It is an outright proof of scam! and I'm sure such ICO would be requiring KYC/AML proceedure? Except the team is being delusional why would they expect the crowd to invest in their project while they are hide behind a mask ? If the team really want to be anonymous, then they shouldn't be offering an ICO, at least investors are should get to to know who they entrusting their money with.

When deciphering between legit and scam ICO's, one of the main things everyone says is "you have a look at the team and see if they're transparent."

The thing is, the whole ideology behind decentralization is that it gives the public control over the economy's trajectory, rather than centralized and specific entities.

I see the Virternity Project, for example (https://virternity.com/), which prefers anonymity, but I'm not sure it means it's a scam ICO.

from their FAQ:

"Why aren't you revealing who is in your team?"

"The members of our team are enthusiastic about the idea of creating the Virternity space for the whole world. We want to avoid “buy-outs” of our specialists and co-workers, and also avoid pressure on them.

Also, given the limited financing at the initial stage, we are using anonymity as a shield for our technological secrets—the specifics of our current and future developments.

Many members of our team have serious jobs in major firms and do not want to advertise their participation in a non-commercial project, in order to avoid conflicts of interest.

In the future, once these factors are less of an issue, we plan to publicly name the founders and key personnel."

Satoshi remains anonymous..

Thoughts?
It is better to avoid such ICO company. Because the team and the idea of the project should be transparent. If the project that hides it is better to avoid the draft. Go around him. I think this project will not bring anything good.

Beware of ICO projects where the team does not show their identity. Most of the time SCAM projects are, or I do not see the reason why the team would not show their identity. I advise you to search for projects whose teams are displayed. It's too much risk to invest in a project where you do not know who did it. No matter how beautiful it is, in 90% of situations, it is a SCAM project. I would not invest money in a dubious project. Information about the ICO team is the most important, and if I hide it, the ICO project is dubious.

In my bounty hunting career, I experience to join a campaign that has a very good fund raised, but the problem that I see is that, their linked in accont have no photo and almost all the team is anonymous. What I did is that, I left the bounty campaign and find a new one. This means that in order to be sure if a project is real, their team must be real first.

There might be a possibility that it really is a scam. But usually they're getting smarter as well as some of them build fake profiles just to fool investors into thinking that they indeed has a good public track record. It will always be better if they're active in social media and observe the community he's currently in to. It'll pretty much tell you if they're real or not. NeuronChain is one of the ICOs I've been following though. They fit my criteria when it comes to the team and the working product that's already on the mainnet. You can check their Facebook if you'd like to check it yourself: https://www.facebook.com/NeuronChain/

Real team comes with real appearance or personality appeared on thier website. If there are all anonymous then that was maybe a scam. We must find another ICO that is real because investing in ico is not a joke it involves money and we really need to be more practical on choosing ico to avoid lossing, because we all know that there are so many scam ico on crypto feild so I think we need to be more careful about it.

In bounty hunting i think we really need also to be in the real team because I believe that if we are engage on scam ICO we maybe not get our bounty tokens after all. So in my part if I saw that the team is anonymous then I let go of that campaign for good. We don't need to put risk on thing whom we don't even know water its fake or real there are so many legit bounty on the feild.
