Anonymous or not, do not trust anyone on the web, no matter how good the story is. Especially when it's about money.
I wouldn't trust an anonymous team but some may be legit. It's just better to erase any risk on your investment.

most likely yes, because as far as I know everywhere the name of the ico team must be transparent in order to trust their participation. if the anonymous team how do the participants believe that?

I can recommend to skip ICO with the anonymous team because you can loose your invested money. Don't risk your money if you're not sure about the project. Satoshi didn't raise money!
I am also worried that the project team 's inclusion of the project team makes things risky and risky. Many ICOs indicate their headquarters so that all investors can check the transparency of the project. I often check the project's communications networks to see if they provide information and images of the project's development team before making any investments.

One of the things i can never do again in this space and that i cannot recommend anyone to do is to invest in an ICO with anonymous team. I gave come across such, as a matter of fact, i did the bounty, but did nit invest money into it. Despite that, it was a wasted effort and time. The ICO looks enticing though, but it later turned out to be scam. They took away investors' money and didn't list on good exchange before effacing.

an anonymous ico team is a red flag for me. i would not trust or even invest in such an ico. the chance that an anonymous team disappears is greater than that of a public team.

In the past ICO team used to remain anonymous and they will build their project, those days, they were been driven by the passion for the project, but since the ICO space gained popularity and more people begin to join, scam entered into the space, so at the moment always avoid project that doesn't show their team members.

99.9% it's a scam ICO project Smiley. At this time, it's really difficult for an ICO to success although they have great team so do you think it's possible for an ICO which has anonymous team? LOL. I can't ensure that it's a scam but you should stay away from ICO projects like that.

Take a look at the bitcoin white project, I also agree we can't make sure the project is a scam or not if you haven't seen the progress, it's quite risky to invest in an ico like this, but it's the same as other ico scams that put a team visible but end up fraud

But at least we know who we are working with, knowing they have enough experience to bring the project to success. That makes us more secure when investing. Better than unknow anything, not knowing that our money is in whose pocket.

Not always, because some of ICOs are just made for fun and in other cases it is a requirement, for instance privacy coin shouldn't disclose their founders identities

If an ICO team is anonymous, then it is with a very high probability a scam. Most successful coins, the team of which remains anonymous, do not conduct any ico and provide s the finished product.

it's better not to take part in the ICO, whose team is anonymous because it will be dangerous for us to invest in that project, in investing we must choose the safe and secure, do not take risks to things that are not clear.
this is different from satoshi nakamoto

When deciphering between legit and scam ICO's, one of the main things everyone says is "you have a look at the team and see if they're transparent."

The thing is, the whole ideology behind decentralization is that it gives the public control over the economy's trajectory, rather than centralized and specific entities.

I see the Virternity Project, for example (https://virternity.com/), which prefers anonymity, but I'm not sure it means it's a scam ICO.

from their FAQ:

"Why aren't you revealing who is in your team?"

"The members of our team are enthusiastic about the idea of creating the Virternity space for the whole world. We want to avoid “buy-outs” of our specialists and co-workers, and also avoid pressure on them.

Also, given the limited financing at the initial stage, we are using anonymity as a shield for our technological secrets—the specifics of our current and future developments.

Many members of our team have serious jobs in major firms and do not want to advertise their participation in a non-commercial project, in order to avoid conflicts of interest.

In the future, once these factors are less of an issue, we plan to publicly name the founders and key personnel."

Satoshi remains anonymous..

Thoughts?

if an ico does not want to reveal any identity, it is not a basis that it is already a scam but, they does not want to hold accountable when things go wrong. So i would say, stay away from those kind of ICO.

like a bounty hunter who doesn't like KYC. they do not want their identities to be known by others so that does not mean that if the team is anonymous then the project is fraud. but indeed if the characteristics of a good ICO are one of them is having a clear team because if they only cheat they will damage their identity.

Each project should be clean and team information, and everything else should be available to the investor. That's all the rule ...

There is no doubt about it. If the ICO team does not even want to introduce themselves, but only to receive money, this is certainly a scam. In this case, it seems, they are even too lazy to search and insert other people's data and photographs of specialists in this field, they decided to remain completely anonymous, so that it was harder to find them. What will investors do if they are deceived? They generally sent their millions of dollars to no one.

If an ICO team is anonymous then I start asking myself different questions. I prefer investing in something I know well. I like to know the team before I make any investments

Never compare Satoshi with scam ICOs! There are still many projects and coins with anonymous team but only ones who dont ask your money in advance (ICO) could be legit ones! And even if they dont ask for money in ICO, there is good chance that it's a scam nevertheless!

Not always, but than as they say more prerequisites to the different situations, the more likely that a particular project will be a Scam, so each suspicious web makes the project ostrozhnym, but I wouldn't say that it's Scam,he will, lots of projects who spoke beautiful words and evolved turned out to be a Scam

It seems to me that it is not worth investing in such a project, since in most cases it is a Scam and such investments do not lead to anything good.
